• Shelley Luther, the owner of Salon a la Mode in Dallas who repeatedly defied Texas's stay-at-home order, walked out of jail Thursday afternoon
• She choked back tears as she was met by crowds of supporters
• The Texas Supreme Court had ordered her release after she was jailed Tuesday for refusing to close her store during the coronavirus pandemic
• Texas Gov. Greg Abbott amended his executive order Thursday, removing the possibility for citizens to be imprisoned for violating stay-at-home orders
