who else would have benefitted off of a win who had a REALISTIC shot at winning? I dont mean a nikka like cesaro or something who a royal rumble win would be a left field surprise with no momentum behind the wrestler prior(which doesnt happen so idk why anybody would think it would now)
rollins and bryan were the only other 2 realistic outcomes and a win wouldnt make or break them because theyre already established modern stars so they didnt exactly "need" it, thats why that "old part timers holding back wwe from creating new stars" narrative makes no sense we literally just seen 2 modern stars in roman and owens go at it and goldberg put over a modern star in drew
I would have liked a big e win because he has clearly been being built with a lot of momentum behind him these last few months, but those hopes went out of the door when he won the IC title

why would they give up Roman? Think logically coli Roman is retaining. He’s going to beat Bryan at mania.

you can’t say there’s a fan favorite like a prime yes movement Bryan or best in the world Punk considering there’s no crowd for that to push the wrestlers to that level
you could say push a random but look at njpw pushing evil last year LMFAOOO learn from that mistake
so the winner could have been anyone
Drew facing edge at Mania, win or lose does great for his resume
you can’t say there’s not a young name when Bianca won
so a young name won and a legendary name won where he’s not get off my tv heat but actually respected

Edge, Orton, Lashley, Christian, Jeff Hardy, Carlito, Miz, Morrison, Rey Mysterio & Kane you could find any combo of on RAW & Smackdown in the mid 00’s. Ruthless Aggression era nostalgia has been in swing for a little while now but I think we’re gonna see it full force this year if tonight was any indication.

McIntyre and Reigns are having solid runs as Champs. They are building one of them so they have to turn over the title to a part timer who is injury prone. I actually like Edge but Big E, Lashley , Cesaro and Bryan was looking like studs last night. At some point you gotta trust the future and the full timers. The older generation is constantly throwing shots at the current generation for not having passion. yet imagine working the whole year to have the guy who had most of last year off in the biggest spot for the biggest event of the company
