All those xbots can go back to playing pc games now. You had your chance this gen and we enjoyed the first person shooters really we appreciate them but now its time for you to go back to your home and let the real games flourish.

NO, and NO. Xbox live does not have deals anywhere close to what steam does on the daily. In the long run pc gaming is costly due to hardware upgrades but you can build a entry level pc on the low. And keep in mind you're not paying for the service for games outside the isp you already have. Digital distribution will always be more affordable. PC games lasts much longer and usually are much more enjoyable because of better graphics, mods, higher fps, better online integration and online communication...not to mention superior controls. Play bf3 or cod on pc then try to play them on a console..you'll never would want to go back. I bought entire game franchises during steam sales for less than $10. Bought crysis 1 and 2 a few months back for $5 breh :wtf: Not to mention its so many games that can be had for free. Consoles will always have more appeal but don't shyt on something you have not tried.

Lol you mis-read...I'm asking is playing online using steam similar to Xbox live? Invites? Group chat? Cross game invites? Headset support for every game?

Microsoft has lost their minds...

Surface and Win8 were colossal flops and now they're trying to kill their gaming division...

LOL @ always online DRM on a fukking console...Any video game consumer who supports this bullshyt business model should be executed...

For those of you too stupid to understand what always online means...If this is anything like Steam like the article implies, if for any reason Microsoft's servers are having issues or your internet connection is not working you will not be able to play any games you purchased and I mean EVERY game not just multiplayer...You will be completely locked out from accessing the game if it cannot authenticate with the server...

and before yall say us PC nikkas been dealing with this bullshyt for years with steam...Yes we have but every PC gamer knows to use a crack for all your single player games to avoid being locked out of a game you purchased...Yall won't be able to do that on a fukking console...

Imagine friend you just put in a few hours grinding in an rpg and then your wireless connection randomly drops.

Always on furious :steviej:

Xbots blindly support this filth and think not supporting it will be detrimental to sonys gaming division. To think. Less freedom is bad for business.

Its so demonic, friends.

Steam birthed all that stuff you see on console, there is no game on PC you can't use headsets on multiplayer for. Its been that the way before Xbox live even dropped

I'm having a hard time thinking of a simple way to answer this. Basically I'll say Steam has all of that in ADDITION to the fact that since your on PC you can co-ordinate your games outside of steam while playing. I could just video chat with people while I'm gaming online if I wanted to in a separate window. Headset support is basically whatever is working on your PC as a headset. You could plug in a damn pair of headphones into a mic jack and talk into the speaker.

This is like asking if your father learned how to walk, talk and take a piss before you did...

doesn't Steam's offline mode allow you to play sans a internet connection?

It's not just about your connection and the size of the game...

Any game with massive hype behind it and large fanbase that sells/is expected to sell like crack (Halo for example) will kill Microsoft's servers on release day...

Steam always lags on major releases and they let us download most of the game a week or two in advance...
