Not for the reasons he said but Ebro is right. ANYBODY could be next to be deported so we got to fight. Like the beginning of the Holocaust, "when they came for so and so I said nothing, but when they came for me it was too late"
You're missing the whole point of this discussion.

Aight i've been largely silent on this, but I feel I have to speak up about this bullshyt.

Am I supposed to feel sorry for Hispanic "undocumented" immigrants? :mjlol:

Real shyt, my immigration process was likely 10x harder and more expensive than someone from Mexico because the US really isn't trying to set up Sanctuary cities or DACA or provide driver's licenses or Amnesty for immigrants from Africa. And my family at least had money and didn't go through Visa Lottery, it would have been even worse if we didn't.

But despite that, my African ass was threatened with DEPORTATION for getting in a fight at military school while having a 3.9 GPA. :gucci:
And I was a LEGAL Green Card Permanent resident so my "documentation" was in order.

My father and mother have also been threatened with deportation as well and neither of them has even seen the inside of an American jail cell.

I've done the naturalization process, do you know that before the interview (at least in Texas), you can ask that your interviewer be fluent in Spanish?:dahell:

My mom failed her first one, but i'm sure she would have done better if they had an Igbo option as well.:childplease:

And so throughout the 18 years it took us to become a US citizens (which included a name change, no ability to go visit Nigeria, threat of deportation looming over me, inability to work in certain jobs).... I dont remember a single fukkin time Hispanics rose up for African Immigrants and supported our cause.

Where were Hispanics to cape for us when Africans were being denied entry into medical schools because there were so many of us qualified immigrants vs the status quo?:jbhmm:
Where were Hispanics to cape for us when the naturalization process allowed you to speak Spanish but no other foreign languages :jbhmm:
Where were Hispanics to cape for us when for an 8 year span The US started to take in less and less Visa lottery applicants from Africa despite the number of total applicants nearly doubling? :jbhmm:

So no, i'll pass on this, their nuts are not my problem:ufdup:

An interesting stance on Ebro's behalf considering he just had a rant not long ago stating that whenever black people try to focus on ourselves/tend to our own needs we get hate and are called "racist" Now, here you have Tariq stating the same thing and Ebro does a complete turn saying "nah we gotta help them out and be leaders" etc. It's like some of these personalities can't even remember what they said a week ago and contradict themselves subsequently.

Personally, I don't think they are going to get rid of those immigrants as many capital holders want them here for cheap labor and in turn they have to most lobbying power to make sure the immigration laws remain lenient. They will probably do some light work on the surface to make it seem as if they are tightening up but slip in some loopholes to make sure they can have their cheap labor similar to what is happening right now with the NAFTA re-negotiations. As of right now they already have somewhere around 9 states suing the Trump administration in defense of DACA, so that should be eye opening for Black Americans.

My best advice to fellow descendants of slaves is to watch this closely and get a better understanding of how white supremacy works but beyond that I don't think we should be expending any large amounts of energy on this subject.

Best post I have seen all year, fukk all the but but but we in this together nikkas.

:comeon:......so black people are the only ones in the HISTORY OF THE WORLD who had dealt with discrimination and oppression? Our struggle is exceptional but its not in any way exclusive to just us.....

Imagine if Nigeria was located where Mexico was. They would have built a wall the day slavery ended.
