How so? That's on the Mavericks Org and Cuban as they were penny penny pinching with Brunson and the KP trade at the time didn't work out. Not to mention how ass they've been for the most part at drafting and player development during his time there.

The fact that they were able to get Kyrie for as cheap of assets as he did and are now in the Finals is luck in and of itself.

It gets harder building a roster when your star player isn't on a rookie contract anymore.
It's because Luka's skills make it hard to build

Luka needs bums like Lively and Gafford to catch his lobs because Luka can't play with a real skilled big man that'll demand the ball in the post

This dude literally had Porzingis but they didn't work out together.

Dallas can't even run a real offensive system because they need to play Luka-ball

Is that supposed to excuse how shytty the Mavericks organization has been when it comes to drafting and player development for the better part of Luka's tenure? Literally the only player that the Mavericks drafted and developed during Luka's tenure is Brunson and they fukked that up by not paying his asking price. Everyone else for the most part has been mehhhh and would still be that way even if it went elsewhere.

KP was injured during a lot of his Mavericks tenure, so that's not all on Luka. People like to always overlook that aspect as there was a reason why people were initially questioning whether that KP would work out for Boston.

Both things can be true. Luka's skills do make it hard to build around, but the Mavericks have also done a poor job at drafting and development and putting above average pieces around him to succeed as well.

This is fair.

Mavs fukked up not resigning Brunson for cheap and potentially saving money elsewhere.

So both are true.

Celtics have a better front office, but Tatum is much easier to build around as well because he can play any still and doesn't have any strong weaknesses

Jason Kidd desperate tactics playing mind games in the media🤣😂 while sending 3 players at the Celtics 2nd option. ☘️ Stick to the Gameplan Banner 18 is the only goal no matter who’s driving the bus.

This fool pulled a “Spill my drink on the court” moment in the NBA Finals🤣😂

Two of the biggest "what the fukks?" from this postseason so far is how did the T'Wolves beat Denver and how did the T'Wolves not make Traffic Cone Luka defend shyt?

Celtics approach is “attack with whoever Luka is guarding”. I can’t believe how easily he gives up on plays. It’s like he doesn’t wanna be there on that side of the court.

Playoffs are all about matchups

Wolves were built to match up with Denver defensively. They were also a mediocre offensive team all season, they just played way above their heads against Phoenix

TWolves’ POBO was Denver old GM, so he knows how to build a team to beat the Nuggets. That being said, they were up 20 with like 20 mins to play at home in game 7. Nuggets just collapsed.

Luka’s gonna have to give more of an effort tomorrow defensively or this is gonna be a really short series.

Sure but KAT is an enigma. He played so well at times on defense against Joker and then against Dallas he was back to making dumb mistakes all over the court. Also for Denver, Porter Jr. cannot be trusted. Feast or famine player.

Like @SchoolboyC said, it's about matchups

Mavs don't have a traditional big man that dominates in the post. KAT, Naz Reid and Gobert were able to be effective against Jokic because they had someone to matchup with. On top of Jaden McDaniels was literally the perfect matchup for Jamal Murray who is smaller, weaker, and less athletic

On the flip side, Mavs offense is geared towards heavy pick and roll and lobs. Wolves swarming blitzing defense plays into Lukas hands because he's an elite passer and pressing up on him opens up lobs and corner 3's
Plus McDaniels was useless against Luka because he's too weak

Kidd sounding like a Coli poster. Lol.

"I don't have no reaction," Brown said.

"This is a team sport," Tatum said. "We wouldn't be here if we didn't have JB on our team, and we can say that for a lot of guys, right. We have all played a part in getting to where we're at, and we understand that people try to drive a wedge between us. I guess it's a smart thing to do or try to do.

"We've been in this position for many of years of guys trying to divide us and say that one of us should be traded or one is better than the other. So it's not our first time at the rodeo."
