Why can't I call timeouts in crucial situations in play now mode? Its like timeouts just disappear. It happened multiple times

I didn't pay 100 for it, and it's not without its issues (frankly, more games need to be fukkin' held back as far as release date until most bugs are identified and fixed). But for most people, it merely fills a need that's been void for 10+ years.
