we'll see. hope you be around in this thread later on.

Bron makes players better with his passing. He made Mo Williams an all star. :comeon:

The best passers make players better. Jason Kidd's IQ and ball placement was ridiculous even when he was past his prime. He made a huge difference for Dirk and Melo.

I expect Wade to do very well this season because he wont have any pressure and he will be playing less minutes. 18-20mpg Wade can be a very efficient player. Its not going to be the Chicago situation. Wade will get easier opportunities and he will get more quality assists because of the shooters on the Cavs.

It really comes down to how good Ty Lue is.

I'm tryna get pumped up about this move but I can't. These two together in 2017 aint the same as 2012. The league has changed so much since then and they acutally got caught at the beginning of that change when the Spurs smoked 'em in '14.

He shot 1-10 in the elimination game :dwillhuh:

Ok that is my fault :francis:......but breh was comin back from injury and had missed a bunch of games before that series......for some reason I thought it was him and rondo doggin in that post.....but it was just rondo before the injury:manny:

He still gave the bulls 5 games where he scored between 30-39pts and 21 game where he scored 21-29 pts......and 28 at 10-19pts.......when has JR ever done that:comeon:

JR Smith averaged 8 points on 34 percent shooting and launched 7 three's a game shooting at 35 percent in 30mpg

Dwayne Wade averaged 18 points in 30 mpg
Shooting 43 percent from the floor, getting to the line 5 times, almost two steals a game, almost 5 rebounds, almost 4 assists

But because jr Smith shoots from 3 four percent more

That's a massive ass upgrade.

J.R. Smith, for now, looks to be the Cavs’ starting shooting guard

There’s still over two weeks, and five preseason games, until the Cavs tip off on opening night vs. the Boston Celtics. But for now, it looks like J.R. Smith will remain the team’s starting shooting guard even as Dwyane Wade joins the team.

Per cleveland.com’s Joe Vardon, Smith said “as far as I know I'm still in the starting lineup” during his media availability on Thursday. Per Vardon, Lue said that he has a “plan in place” on how to incorporate Wade, but did not disclose it.

Smith, for what it’s worth, doesn’t seem too concerned about if he starts or comes off the bench this season after being a starting lineup staple since being acquired by the Cavs during the 2014-15 season.

“I don't really focus on it,” Smith said, per Vardon. “This is my 14th year, and I've had a lot of BS in my past, and I don't plan to bring that onto the Cavs.”

Right now, Wade is practicing with a second unit that also includes Kyle Korver, Iman Shumpert, Jeff Green and Tristan Thompson. The Cavs’ starting lineup is currently Smith, LeBron James, Kevin Love, Jae Crowder and Derrick Rose. At media day, Lue said Rose would start at point guard until Isaiah Thomas returns from his hip injury. But Wade’s signing could change that.

This is just one practice and Lue will likely tinker with what lineups work best with Wade now on the team. It seems likely that, in some role, he’ll play some point guard. We’ll learn more next week when the Cavs begin preseason play.

How did I know you'd post clips from that Celtics series? He didn't give a fukk last season.

An engaged Wade with less of an offensive burden is a better defensive player than J.R. Smith.
Oh, clearly it was that he didn't give a fukk and not the fact that he's rapidly on the decline.

Yea, I don't know what his official numbers were for that series but his play left a bad lasting impression for me.

the cavs have a much better team this year than last year
crowder is a underrated pick up because he eliminates kevin love being a liability on defense

with isiah and wade, you can two players not caught up in lebron ball who can carry the load, and create their own shot at a high level when lebron is on the bench

jr thing going to the bench just improves their depth

theres nothing negative about this no matter how anyone tries to twist it lol
What makes you think JR is going to the bench? Who's starting in place of him? :jbhmm:
So D Wade isn't an upgrade from JR Smith now......:stopitslime:

He didn't give a fukk he played on a treadmill team and didn't get along with the young players. Him not getting back in transition and allowing cuts is pure laziness and lack of desire.

D-Wade still got physical tools and instincts, if the effort is there, he will be able to impact the game defensively. His offensive burden will be the smallest it's been in his career which should lead to a more rested D-Wade.

We gon see that's all I got to say
