I dunno how anyone view this as a negative for both Wade and the Cavs. Granted, he is a better FIT on paper with OKC, but with Kyrie gon and IT being inactive for at LEAST a half-season, LeBron desperately need a Robin to his Batman and having Wade is perfect for him. They already have a set chemistry and regardless that Wade APPEARED to have faded some in skill, his own leadership and experience is more than enough to assist in pushing an already experienced squad that has a lot of depth.

wade is not there to be robin, IT is. wade trying to be anything more than a role player spells disaster for the cavs. hes 35 yrs old!

And lebron could only sit for 2 minutes a game. The cavs would be up 10 lebron would go to the bench and the cavs would be down 15 in 2 minutes.

And folks wonder why KD looked so good in the finals. shyt there were half qtrs when him and curry were on the bench chewing they finger nails.....and the warriors either extended the lead or didn't lose ground points wise with KD and Curry on the bench.

Yes defense will probably end up being this team's achilles heel. Where they will get it from I don't know. But if it's a Warriors and Cavs final again with little to no defense being played like last year, the Cavs at least have a chance with this much firepower. However, they are going to miss the Warriors killer Kyrie Iriving who likes going nuclear against them. This might be neutralized by the fact that they have IT who is not bad himself as well as other scorers in Rose, Wade, and to a lesser extent Crowder and JR.

Thats the big question. How are you going to replace Kyrie's production. Dude dominated the Warriors over 2 finals. Kyrie was shooting damn near 50% from 3 averaging almost 30ppg and broke down their defense time after time. All these bodies but none of them can give you that complete package....IT can give you some but the warriors will exploit and pick on him defensively...Dwade can give you some but he cant shoot.

Overall i think it makes them easier to guard. You legit need elite shotmaking to compete with these Warriors...Cavs should have really picked up someone like Jamal Crawford.

You did OBVIOUSLY missed the part where I stated IT is inactive for at LEAST a half-season. And age means little when it's not all on his shoulders anyway. Jordan was still the most dominant player of the league at age 35. Wade is playing with LeBron who is ALSO in his 30's now. You got a Spurs team with vets in their late 30's and still looked upon as favorites. I'll take chemistry and experience over youth and inexperience any time. The Cavs are a experienced team with arguably the best player of the league and has the most depth with Wade being a decent icing because he already knows his role while playing with LeBron. There's nothing to adapt.

Your assuming a lot about how all these additions will play against the Warriors despite the fact that they haven't played yet. For all we know IT could explode the Warriors or he could be bottled up. We don't know how Wade, Rose, and Crowder will play either especially since they are all playing together. The Warriors can't focus on all of them.

i think wade will run the second squad will shooters around him..

Wade, calderon, crowder, korver(or green) and tavares

with tavares picking up the defensive break down and crowder korver and calderon stretching the floor.

hopefully it can maintain a lead

Even if IT explodes he's going to be exploited on the defensive end. His size will always hinder him against the best teams. The Cavs will always have a compromised defense with him on the floor. Wade doesnt provide the spacing that Kyrie would because he's not a 3 point shooter.

I guess you could choose the wait and see approach. But what is going to change those facts?

Maybe if you're talking about health and chance...sure. Maybe the Warriors dont make it back...maybe someone's hurt.

But if we are just looking at the players based on what they bring and based on their weaknesses its easy to make an educated guess.

What about the rest of the team lmao. Kyrie isn't the world's greatest defender either. Curry is a liability too even though he gets steals. Case in point the 2016 nba finals and all of the switching they did on him forcing him to defend and we all know how that turned out.

You're worried about Wade not spacing the floor but ignore the other things he bring like his playmaking and his ability to get in the paint as well as being able to take the playmaking load off of Lebron.

Draymond shoots only 30% from 3 yet no one is concerned about the lack of spacing he brings because he is an excellent passer, decent rebounder, and elite defender. The Cavs also still have Lebron. Even though Love is ineffective against the Warriors, they now have other guys that can help take off the load. IT's size becoming a problem? Put in Rose for stretches.

Kyrie only really exploded in games 3 and 4 and was forgettable in the other games. The Cavs don't need IT to be Kyrie because they now have a much better supporting cast. Kyrie had to explode for them to have a chance because their supporting cast performed horribly in the finals. Now it is reasonable to assume the supporting cast they have now will perform much better so IT won't have to drop 40 every night for them to have a chance like Kyrie had to.

The Cavs big 3 wasn't the problem. It was the team around the big 3 yet people want to ignore that. You can't beat the Warriors if your supporting cast shyt the bed the way the Cavs did. The Cavs lost Kyrie but gained IT, Rose, Wade, Crowder, Green, and and still have guys like JR and TT even though TT has the Kardashian bug right now.

I know it was only the regular season but Wade, Rose and Isaiah have all played pretty well against the Warriors in the past few years with inferior teams and have even gained a few victories under their belt

LeBron was useless on D long before the playoffs even started (he was bad pretty much for the entire regular season), in fact the argument was he was pacing himself for the playoffs. Now we know that was all nonsense. He never had any intention of uppin his defensive activity in the postseason.
He wasn't useless, obviously declined but you're dragging it. And if I remember correctly he had a great defensive series against Toronto and defended PG well in isolation situations in the Indiana series and made a lot of plays off the ball in that safety role.

You're painting him out to be Carmelo Anthony or something at this point in his career.
