Playing with LeBron again with a deep team will rejuvenate Wade. He don't have to be even the top 4 scorer on his team. He has Lebron, Love, IT, and Rose to do that. Dude can come in just to match up with certain team even as a starter. Look at old man Richard Jefferson the year they won it all.

Neither the Warriors or the Cavs played much defense in the finals. Did you see the final box scores? The Cavs big 3 actually consistently outscored the Warriors big 3. The problem is literally no one outside the big 3 except for JR showed up. Korver was brick city. Deron Williams had 5 points THE ENTIRE SERIES and I think 4 or all of his points came in game 4. Jefferson was a walking corpse. The team around the Cavs big 3 was the problem because they gave no help. The Warriors role players performed well and supported their big 3/big 4. The Cavs have a supporting cast that can contribute now. Rose, Wade, Crowder, Green, JR, and anyone else is a far better supporting cast.
They'll help no doubt. You're kinda screwed when your bench unit has 0 big men and it consists of a super flabby D-Will (he was legit worse these finals than Mike Bibby was in 2011), Jefferson, Korver, and Shumpert. Korver is the only one who has any business being in anyone's rotation in 2017, and that's a stretch given his defense. They'll still need defense. It's way too risky to be asking someone with the mileage LeBron has to be the anchor of their perimeter defense and play backup center too.

Yes defense will probably end up being this team's achilles heel. Where they will get it from I don't know. But if it's a Warriors and Cavs final again with little to no defense being played like last year, the Cavs at least have a chance with this much firepower. However, they are going to miss the Warriors killer Kyrie Iriving who likes going nuclear against them. This might be neutralized by the fact that they have IT who is not bad himself as well as other scorers in Rose, Wade, and to a lesser extent Crowder and JR.

Low-key this team could have a lot of defenders, way more than last year.

Last year it was pretty much Shump, Lebron, and TT....and that caused them to completely run Lebron/TT into the ground and make them useless on D by the playoffs (though JR finally came back and was an asset on that end by the playoffs).

Now if everyone works out and stays healthy, they have Shump, JR, Cedi, Lebron, Crowder, TT, and Tavares/Zizic who can all contribute on the defensive end.

The big problem is that most of those guys ain't contributing much of anything on offense. Once again, they gotta figure out how many of the minus defenders (IT, Rose, Wade, Korver, Love, Frye) they can play at once.

Golden State is so good because they have five guys who are elite on one end while also being capable-to-elite on the other end too. Every other team continuously playing catch-up because no one can put together five players without at least two of them being weak on one end or the other.

@Gil Scott-Heroin homerism at an all time high. This nikka is really as corny as they come. Yeah Dwyane Wade playing small time minutes on a deep team is gonna be garbage. :heh:
Show me where I said the Wade signing is garbage or anything remotely close to it? And you seem to be shifting the argument from what others are saying ['Wade will start for the Cavs']. Homerism for whom? If anyone is guilty of homerism in this thread it's you. Rose and Wade are essentially the same player, having both of them is redundant, especially when the Cavs would be better off with a guard who can shoot and/or defend. Having one is fine - having both is hustling backward.

LeBron was useless on D long before the playoffs even started (he was bad pretty much for the entire regular season), in fact the argument was he was pacing himself for the playoffs. Now we know that was all nonsense. He never had any intention of uppin his defensive activity in the postseason.

Having both Rose and D-Wade ain't redundant if you figure they good for about half a season of play each. :yeshrug:

The key, like I said earlier, is that D-Wade better be cool accepting a bench role unless IT and D-Rose are both out.

JR, shump, Korver, Wade, Rose, IT that's a lot of guards. Who's minutes getting cut when they all healthy? I'm guessing probably rose
