I get the impression that Howard could really be the leader of the team if he put the effort in. I may not like him, but he seems like a nice guy who could get these guys to rally around his personality. Problem is that he isn't consistently dominating on the court. Kobe sucks the fukking life out of that team. Howard needs to be at the opposite end of the spectrum - working as hard as Kobe, but being a team player. If he can win the team to his side, perhaps this shyt could work.

Fisher is just an office politics playing kissass who probably put his DSL's to work to keep his job. He always enabled Kobe, I've never seen any evidence to substantiate the rumors that he was able to talk slick to Kobe to earn his respect.

Yeah I agree....To be clear Phil isn't the "only one" capable.. He was just the closest and most ideal to the Lakers situation..But a Riley, Pop, Doc and Thibs could also be successfuly with big egos and dominate personalities...


But yeah the players do need to be accountable..But there is a reason why leadership is so important and a good coach is crucial...
