Jim Crow laws varied from state to state ..Just because some ppl were allowed to do certain things in one city/state does not mean the next city/state would be on the same shyt . History isn’t as simple as a lot of nikkas want to make it look like .

If you think California was letting Asians rock during that era you smoking dust :skip: but a state like Delaware probably wouldn’t give a fukk .

It depends on time and place

Don't call me a nikka if you are not FBA.

And even if you are stop using that clownish word.

to be fair, divide and conquer is a common right-wing tactic. truths can be propagated with an ulterior motive. it's not always easy to discern a posters motivations or if their rhetoric is genuine or not. :francis:

I don't think we should automatically be adversarial towards other minority groups.

Hispanics and Asians support reparations for ADOS more than cacs by a decent margin

Having said that we have to go into our interactions with these groups knowing the truth about history and know what agendas might try to get pushed off of the back of our ancestors.

Japanese immigrants, not just Asians in general, were in camps due to WWII for several years. Mexicans lost a war they waged against the U.S. and signed a Treaty giving them FULL Civil Rights/citizenship 116 years before us.

How are you comparing that to 4 CENTURIES of systemic oppression?

And Black former slaves got......how much again?

40 Acres and a mule?

I'm sorry, they got nothing. Slave OWNERS, OTOH, got about $300 for each slave they released in 1862....

And with the way some of them would be acting towards black folks you would think they ass is white!

You walk by them and they lock their car doors.
You walk by them and they clutch their purses.
You walk by them...they walk to the other side of the street
They open their businesses in your neighborhoods...
They don't hire you at their businesses.
They follow you around in their businesses.
They accuse you of stealing.
They tell their kids to "stay away" from you while staying as close to white people as humanly possible.
:mjpls:

Like I am sooooo sick and tired of acting like white people hold the monopoly on racism and anti-blackness causw that is intellectually dishonest.

I'm not gonna pretend like I haven't faced anti-black racism by all these folks just to put on some fake "we are the world" bs act that doesn't jive with reality.

In a couple of decades...these people will be seen as WHITE while Black People gonna be Native American status.
:wow:
The immigrants don’t hire anyone but their family members. They pay them minimum wage or under the table, and they collect food stamps, use the money to buy food for the store, and mark it up.

But the reason white people get the most heat is because they are the majority, it’s more obvious, and they make laws and policies. And they’re racist to those other groups too. Black people are just speak up more often, and louder.

The Wrong Side of the Tracks
Jim Crow laws varied from state to state .
So did slavery laws, but Asians weren't slaves here from 1619 to 1860 by law, nor were they considered to be '3/5 of a person' by law, nor were they 'bred' like livestock, nor were they denied Civil Rights until 1964, nor were they 'redlined' up until 1992, etc.

Our heritage in this country is entirely unique, so comparing what happened to us and our ancestors against other groups of people in this country does not, and will NEVER, work.

@Dafunkdoc_Unlimited

I have a different viewpoint on 40 acres and a mule, upward mobility and making it in this country. My maternal granddad left rural Virginia as a teen or young man, went to Washington D.C. got married and had four successful kids including my mom. They joined either the Father Divine or Daddy Grace church and a group of them left D.C. and bought up a ton of farmland in Williamsburg, VA. My uncle his son played football for an NC HBCU, got an invite to the Denver Broncos but got cut. Later he was a coach of an D.C. semi-pro team. His sister, my aunt was the supervisor of anesthesia at Bellevue Hospital in the Big Apple, and retired from the USAF reserve as a colonel. She never got married but her boyfriend was the Motown road manger of Diana Ross and the Supremes. Sy sent me coins from all over the world when they were on tour because he knew I had a coin collection.
. There's a pic in there of my mom's cousin on duty at Fort Knox.
I've also have a few of bad guys in my fam.
BTW both my twin daughters have a room for me to stay in when I reach that age. One has a rental property.
I'll engage the thread with a few personal pics from fam photo albums. If the coli server eats them up I'm not reposting them.

That’s why slavery/racism was known to be devastating to the African American population not Asian or Mexican. Where you under a different impression

Talking about from an economical perspective. The moment segregation ended we abandoned all the black businesses.
Black people aren't forced to only buy from black businesses now. How do we get them to spend money within the community?
