If they want to box us out than so be it, cause as far as I’m concerned ain’t no coming back from this ruling, time to go fight for other schools (hbcus) to become research institutions like duke

right now is the time to force Biden hand with that hbcu funding if they not going to do anything about the affirmative action ruling
Yall don't see the play, Asians ate definitely going to fight that historically black colleges are unconstitutional as well

But people want to have certain institutions on their resume for connections and status.

you right, but that's the game especially if you don't have the connections.

life is all about networking and you wanna get into those circles and networks to give you the best opportunity to be successful. Not that you can't be successful without it, but it 100% does help.

now that's a battle they are going to lose. and they are the ones who are trying to get into these PWIs with clout and don't think we should be there (After hating ass cacs of course).

Naw, this program got a lot of Blacks into Duke who couldn't afford it otherwise.

The athletes are a non factor, this is larger than that
Yep. This is fukking madness.

Here’s the deal, tho. Those of us who saw this coming will find a way through the labyrinth the right is attempting to create.

The fukking “both sides” idiots who think these cacs see them as an equal or “want racism out in the open” are the ones who are going to truly feel this shyt when it’s too late.

I’m not even going to lie— a few of my elders who…know some people… said that the Democrats are genuinely concerned because Trump has a good chance. Just don’t be surprised. :hubie::francis:

The problem is , higher education has become more about status, than the knowledge.
realistically if you can learn the same thing anywhere, it shouldn't matter what school you go to.
But people want to have certain institutions on their resume for connections and status.
We need to bring it back to the initial function somehow which is learning.
Honestly higher education may be one of those things black people should probably try and control ourselves

It’s not realistic for other industries but education is probably the best shot cause I get that certain schools will open doors for people and I don’t want people to not go for they ambitions but we really have to start questioning shyt like this

They trying really hard to stop us from doing shyt, does it make more sense to take the energy we would use to fight to go to places like duke or whatever and go make an hbcu or these state schools our educational safe spaces to expand our knowledge and research capacity?

This is a question that needs to be answered in my opinion

the fact he can still run after the events of January 6th is fukkin embarrassing. They need to hurry up and get this man locked up. I want to enjoy the shytshow of him being in jail and having to pull out of the running.

and make sure he's in jail for state and local charges, not federal ones that he can potentially pardon himself on. Leave no loopholes.

I don’t see how that would work, so they going to close them down

What Asians is fighting to go to hbcus but not getting in

But I wouldn’t be shocked if racists tried to pull it though

When North Carolina had that bathroom ban bill, the ncaa threatened to take the tourney out of NC and things switched up quickly.

College athletes don’t understand the power that they have. If they worked together to leave those big time schools, shyt would switch up quick.

this is the “pipeline” I keep talking about.

its gone.

I know, I have a lot of Duke ties. This is literally how they got in. No way we could afford the tuition at Duke. You got literally millionaires and billionaires kids going there. You aren't on their financial level or even close. Wow! I am disgusted

I know people who got in through these programs at many top 20 schools etc.
YEEEEEEEEEP!!!

And this is exactly why I’ve been saying that we are the generations (X, Y, Z) that have to focus on making as much $ as possible, networking and supporting each other. They want to push us out of certain spaces, including these universities as students AND administrators.

Smarts and finances.

What happened with Claudine Gay was the ALARM 🚨 going off!

There is an all-out effort to ensure we are the bottom caste of this nation and we cannot stand by and let it happen!

Education opens so many doors.
Voting allows you to have a say in who governs this nation.

There’s a fukking reason why they want us to be ill-informed and don’t want us to have access to both.

I was asking you to elaborate
First heard it from Bobby Hemmitt and dismissed it until I started hearing black people at work, churches, and family friends saying it.
And they only said it after a couple of deep talks on the issue:
It’s too late. The black community is literally at the point of no return…UNLESS… squares take
Back the community by force and violence. Which also won’t happen.
Uh yeah it's too late what the fukk?
Quoting for proof.

I remember seeing it a lot when I lurked from '19 to '21.

most of the leadership at these schools is conservative. Always has been. The loud activists fooled people into thinking they had power over the institution

As an alumni of one of the schools on that list...that's not true. Academic admin leadership is full of liberals, this is readily documented. There's a difference between a typical university liberal and the extremist leftists in other parts of the universities, with less power. Earlier this week Harvard and multiple other universities announced they're moving back to standardized tests for admissions. A clear reversal of the policy to get rid of them, which was heavily influenced by extremist leftists who are so far gone they think math is racist. We're not seeing a rebuke of liberalism, we're seeing a rebuke of extremism.

In terms of the scholarship program...we all saw this coming. These elite institutions largely exist to create elite people who run corporations and our government. And while that program certainly helped a handful of non-rich black people get into the school, I'm not sure it was enough to really matter beyond individual success stories. Regular black people have opportunity at multiple non-Ivy or elite universities that will get you a great job, great alumni base, and great networks. I'm certainly concerned about black scholarships being targeted in general, I'm just less focused on Duke. We need more black people, specifically black MEN, being interested in going to universities. Hell at this point we need them interested in community colleges as well. Something, anything. There's a decline in white male enrollment too btw.

A lot of black people are pessimistic when it comes to they own, they look down on other black folks

That’s why you see people act the way they act, only caring about the money, not caring about doing shyt for the community

Think about it, I know we all seen how people make jokes on this forum about black children, whenever a story comes up several people always post “if only there was a community center”

Children is literally the most important resource we got and people take it as a fukking joke and our careless
