so will that set a legal precedent in georgia to where if you propose to a chick you have to marry her or pay up?
So...
They moved in together in 2000...
Got engaged in 2004...
Broke up 2011...and still weren't married?
This guy is the master of stringing people along.
She played herselfShe allowed herself to be strung along. He is an ass but she should have been gone.
She played herself
Some women don't smarten upHe played her, and she played herself by allowing it. I am not quitting my job, leaving myself totally dependent on someone when they could just walk away from me like he did. No leg to stand on what so ever. After she found out he was in a relationship before and after he proposed to her she should have known what was up. Commitment obviously meant nothing to him.
some of them have little incentive to smarten up because they figure the cops and the govt will to the rescue. Sad part it, they don't realize that eventhough they might win in court or the public eye, they still lose overall (she wasted a decade of her life on this dude) and what's even worse is that she probably didn't learn anything so she may repeat that mistake. Some women don't smarten up
It's disappointing.
Some men don't smarten up either.

She didn't really play herself though. He played her, and she played herself by allowing it. Where is there a simp at in this story? This is probably why she went after that 50K because she couldn't keep the house. White dudes need to learn that simp life has huge financial consequences.
"The mortgage deed was in Kelley's name, but because they were not married, she was not permitted to petition a court to award her the home on a temporary or permanent basis, which she could have done if they were married".
She didn't really play herself though.
They got engaged. They brought property together. they had a kid. They made a decision for her to stay at home and take care of the kid while he worked.
Everything they did was in the form of a marriage.

She did play herself. If you are going to stop working then you should be married to insure that he can't leave you high and dry. But I think the money and the ring are pretty good retribution. This also doesn't include the child support he will be paying.
They both lost but...so is life.
