my answer to that is your post is how I found out he released that album

He's an idiot. From what I understand he's a habitual fukk up and has messed up all the musical friendships and alliances he had for whatever reason (quest, silkie etc)

yeah, quest aired him out a bit a while back on dubstepforum cos he must've felt people were getting the wrong impression of what was actually going down. From what I remember one of the things was that he'd put anti-social on flyers next to his name even though he hadn't been in anti-social for ages. Stupid shyt like that. Oh and he'd fukk up deadlines for stuff (evidenced by how long it took for the album to come out lol)

I'll check the album out but i've completed moved on from wanting 'lost dubs' now (except  jah power dub). I've come to understand the importance of timing when it comes to releasing records. Like a good example would be mala releasing stand against war a couple months ago. Now if he'd have released that in '07-'08 that would've been a monumental release and could've had an effect on the scene as a whole. Now when it finally did get released it was still a great song, but the underground music scene in the UK has moved on so it just felt like you was just getting an artifact from a different time

We've only ever heard one side of the story, and from the stuff I heard, not a very a complete or very clear story either. Obviously something happened, but all I remember was a couple of weeks before Quest,Silke, and G Double, started talking. Heny was on Rinse with them, G was on his show on Flex.

Yeah not gonna lie Heny's sets has suffered since those incidents, ain't getting tunes anymore like he used to.

But speaking of Anti Social, what the fukk happened to their Rinse show, seemed like around that same time, Jay just went in completely different direction, music got weird as fukk on the show.

As far as Heny's album, i'm definitely interested, loved his music from day one, his tunes have that early 93-95 Bukem/Good Looking, Atmospheric Jungle feel, which I love so much. Don't care how old them tunes are. The man knows how to make tunes.

'Soul Born Through Pain' is one the best Dubstep tunes i've heard, just for the breakdown alone(no one in Dubstep can fukk with him and Silkie, when it come to breakdowns)

Well it's like with anything, you can only form your opinion on the information your given and you'll never know what's whole truths and half truths. There was a lot of opportunity for Heny to dispute what Quest, Silkie and G Double were saying and he didn't...so I think it is safe to say there was a lot of fukkery on his part

You can't go from having a network of links to nothing and it only be you who it happens to for no reason

The other artist I'm concerned about in this respect atm is V.I.V.E.K because it seems like his and Mala's relationship is fukked up after Mala said he couldn't do SYSTEM anymore because of his album tour. Asteroids was meant to be released on Deep Medi but is now going to be the first SYSTEM release, and V.I.V.E.K hasn't been on any of the Deep Medi bills lately.

But in regards to Anti-Social, I don't really fukk with Silkie anymore, he's got into his comfort zone waaay too much, his tunes have been stale for the longest and Swindle has taken up his spot and been more adventurous with it. Quest, well...he's basically the dubstep Jay Electronica, who knows when he'll release new music :yeshrug:

Outisde of DMZ and Mala releases, I couldn't tell you what's going on in Dubstep anymore, actually I couldn't really tell you what's going on in the UK anymore...the underground scene is a complete mess

between dungeon and brostep (tbf brostep is very invisible over here thank god) dubstep is dead out

swamp 81 has been releasing shyt garage/house and techno and is beyond stale

night slugs is one of the only shining lights but lacks the focus and monumental records to really take the scene by the scruff of its neck and push the scene in the direction it wants to go

and then you've got dusk/blackdown/visionist/beneath/wen revivial grime stuff which is good but very niche

basically, its '92 hardcore again and we need a metalheadz to come along and just say "stop this bullshyt...this is what we're doing now, this is the new shyt, come along with us or flop"

Excuse my Jungle nerdness, but Headz didn't start till late 94, a good two and a half years after Jungle developed. Headz was one of the label that led the transition from Jungle to D&B.

It was labels like Reinforced, Moving Shadow, Labello Blanco, Deejay, Lucky Spin, Suburban Base, Ibiza, etc, that really developed Jungle in 92.

And even within the so-called Hardcore scene, there was always two scenes, the Roast, Kool FM and AWOL side(basically more Black, man dem crew), and Raindance, Elevation, Fantazia(Ravey, more White crew). And the former where never on that crazy, hands in the air piano, chipmunk stuff. It was pretty much the real heavy Breakbeat, dubby B-lines stuff, they were on, which really was just Jungle anyways.
