Rapper/actor LL Cool J has forgiven his dad for shooting his mother and grandfather and leaving them for dead when he was only four years old.
Truck driver James Nunya shot his father-in-law Eugene in the stomach and estranged wife Ondrea in the back out of frustration over the couple's divorce in 1972, when the Grammy winner and awards host was just a young boy.
Both relatives survived their injuries, and the NCIS: Los Angeles star insists he has since made peace with his dad - even though he was initially reluctant to allow him back into his life.
During an interview on Oprah's Next Chapter, which aired on Sunday, he said, "I guess it would leave you scarred, at four years old, based on how the people around you dealt with it and encouraged you to deal with it. It was tough...
"My family is a very interesting family. My mother forgave my father... He came back into my life and made amends for a lot of things by helping to guide me with my music career early on, and kinda helping me in that area."

It's amazing how he and his mom could forgive pops after that..
Yeah, that's a pretty serious incident, it's crazy. I guess these things in life can happen though, shyt can get out of control in the heat of the moment, and both parties regret it later. Or a aggressor and a victim but cause the remorse is genuine and they try to make amends they forgive, it's complicated and very much a situation on an individual and personal basis.

Yeah, I loved that whole shyt, was nice to see the unity/positivity/respect from that day/idea. Hip Hop standing together so unified is good to see, we need more of that and use our cultural voice/power to be one and move as one. Isn't always possible, but there's many areas where it's all possible, there's many things we'd all agree on, collectively the average person/people are stronger than individually, in pretty much every way. And thanks, yeah it's cool sharing these facts with eachother, can be interesting and insightful, it will forever be growing too cause new shyt will always come to light. This one was different from any other thread of it's type on the internet cause it's from in depth knowledge, some of the shyt said in here only a few people know.
