Keith never spent any time in a mental institute. That was a rumor from a radio interview he did and due to his eccentric style. He just never denied it.

to build upon the Big and Puff thing, Puff def did not want Long Kiss Goodnight on LAD. he did not like the idea of RZA getting publishing on what he knew would be a huge seller, Big went over his head and got ahold of Power and set it up. Cappa was on it, but his verse was cut

True Master ended his relationship with WTC (group publishing) based on physical altercations with Power. he has done some some solo work with members, but had stated years ago he would never deal with Power again

Ol Dirty b*stard and LL Cool J were supposed to work together. Then, when they were in the studio, ODB pissed on one of L's platinum plaques (he was drunk, surprise, surprise) and LL threw him out.

:russ:

- Bone Thugs N Harmony is the only rappers to record with both Biggie and 2Pac while they were alive.

What about Meth? He had The What with Biggie and Got my mind made up with Pac on AEOM

- Method Man was supposed to be on Suspect off It Was Written but he and Nas could never connect

In 1995 following the success of their debut lp "Southernplayalistic Caddilac Music" ...the Andre 3000 of the Atlanta based group OUTKAST long with their manager Blue Williams were in the midst of further solidifying their Dungeon Family brand by seeking a label deal for their associates GOODIE MOB.

While in New York attending various meetings with label heads, the RZA gave an interview to a street fanzine publication in which he made what was deemed a degrading remark about the south ..."They (southerners) can't feel our music cause you gotta understand they still infatuated with pork and are uneducated"

Andre 3000 took exception to the remark feeling this was probally the sentiment of most of the NYC based music execs him and Blue had to deal with, Andre subliminally refrenced this at his 2005 "speech" while accepting his Source Award .....

"got a demo ain't nobody trying to listen to ...but the SOUTH GOT SOMETHING TO SAY!"

Later that evening at the SOURCE AWARDS....Andre 3000 "tried" to have a sitdown with RZA over his remarks and words were exchanged between both camps ALMOST resulting in a physical confrontation according to James of the Dungeon Family based group Concrete.

Fast Forward to 1997 the RZA gives another interview to RAP PAGES magazine and reiterates the same comments with no apology,,,,,tension is thick ...considering promoters are trying to book OUTKAST and WU on the same shows, ...fortunately the beef is subsided when Blue Williams meets with Loud Records president Steve Rifkind to mediate the issues....

Which in 1998 is one of the factors which led to the "SKEW IT ON THE BAR-B" collaboration between Outkast and Raekwon

Cee-Lo however never let it slide.......matter of fact since RZA was unapologetic and he still felt that the NYC based industry would still be prejudiced towards southern artists regardless...he addressed it bodly on the intro to the Goodie Mob 1998 release "STILL STANDING" with the track "THE EXPERIENCE".........

"I thought you suppose to be the G-O-D sound like another N1GGA to me"

Just want to clarify this real quick.

As a long time vet Wu-Tang fan.

- Ghostface Killah broke Mase's jaw in a fight and bragged about it on Supreme Clientele

This is incorrect and Ghost did not punch Ma$e.

Hasham punched Ma$e.

Hasham is part of Ghost's click.

Everyone back then thought ghost created a new word "Champunch." Like a Champion Punch, which is still fukkin' ill.

Haitian rapper Red Eyez & Zoe Pound ran up in Birdman's crib and forced him to pay money he owned from a dice game

:russ: I remember when Redd Eyezz talked about that in an interview with Maya B at the roundtable show.....

and not only got that money back....but got some "FEATURES" out of birdman and help navigate that situation to have Haitian Fresh get that deal from YMCMB a few years back

- reports that Pete Rock and Nas fell out because Pete Rock slept with Carmen are false. Pete Rock never met Carmen and doesn't know her. Pete and Nas fell out because Nas didn't use any of the beats Rock sent him for It Was Written, Rock felt slighted and was one of the so called "purists" dissing IWW when it was released. Nas didn't speak to Rock for 12 years.

Still waiting on that CDQ release of the Street Dreams Remix......

Thats a George Clinton Hook Sample actually..so they both got the melody from P Funk, George Clinton nickname was P-Funk.. Dr dre and Warren G spawned the G-FUNK era, Snoop included based off P-Funk Soul music inspired by George Clinton

Nah brah. Ur half way right on the hook part. Actually Above The Law got the idea of the hook from Funkadellic - Knee Deep and they changed the words around "you don't wanna fukk wit me" in return Pac got that idea to say that and the idea to use the melody from Above The Law's song

Dr Dre, Warren g, and Snoop made G Funk popular but Big Hutch from ATL created it

Pac was the first person to call it "g funk" on Above The Law's album.

It must be something spiritual to allow me to tell this story.... :russ:

so it is with great honor to speak on a situation that occurred on the "motherboard" SOHH prior to it's demise...

Bosslady and alleged founder of SOHH Felicia Palmer is the sole reason the NAS LOST phrase turned into a movement..so to speak

I happened to be an associate of a proflic carribean blogger who use to post on the DHR (dancehall reggae) messageboard back in the day

anyway to make a long story short.....JAY-Z was about to release the highly anticipated "BLACK ALBUM"

the carribean blogger was always a trendsetter in my opinion ....being one of the first to break new music..something which has become common these days

anyway she posted a stream of the BLACK ALBUM on her website weeks before it's official release

all of a sudden her site shuts down...the blogger explains the reasons behind it , ranting about cease and desist letters from not only Def Jam but an alleged "THREAT" made via email by SOHH's own Felicia Palmer who stated in a letter the blogger pasted on the DHR board.....

"I hope to god...that Dame and Jay put the beatdown on your a**!"

I communicated with the blogger on this matter, and she went on to explain :

1# Felicia Palmer is a corporate puppet
2# Felicia Palmer despises blogs and tries henchmen tactics to get them shut down even to the point of snitching
3# Felicia Palmer has posted numerous stories and editorials basically slandering NAS...while being Pro-JAY-Z
4# Felicia Palmer not only posted as an alias screaming "NAS LOST" but even took a photo with a DIPSET shirt during the midst of the NAS/CAMRON beef as confirmed by another SOHH poster

the culmination of the Dungeon Family-Wu riff was RZA having Big Gipp on his 2nd album, to kind of put a bow on that. he actually wanted the entire group on there but their label paperwork was not allowing it at the time

Masta Killa is a strict vegan, and sometimes does ads for PETA. he often stresses eating healthy in his bars

Gucci Mane did not come up with his stage name, that was his fathers nickname

Zaytoven moved to Atlanta to get his career going, he is actually from the Bay Area and is cousins with JT The Bigga Figga. his first steady client was Gucci in 04 who remains his close friend and collaborator

Drumma Boy was originally signed to No Limit as an in-house, doing Tru's entire 2nd album before the label ran into problems

Currensy is the only rapper signed to both New Orleans powerhouse labels (Cash Money/No Limit). he did not drop on either one
