what u mean?
we have this thing here called the "Drivers Responsibility Fee" where if you have a suspended license you pay $500 on the year of the suspension and the following year. If you miss either payment or don't make arrangements you have ANOTHER suspension and then the whole thing starts over
What makes it especially egregious is that the major Metro area of Detroit has incredibly shytty mass transportation...as in it damn near doesn't exist, EVERYONE drives. So if you have to pay anywhere up to $1000 just to get driving privileges back on top of another $500 coming in the future or face jail time if you get pulled over its garbage. So most people drive dirty and take the chances...but in Michigan its impossible to buy a car, own a car, get insurance, get tags, or anything without it...and the Auto industry lobby in the state capital being so powerful they have stifled ANY attempt to create ANY kind of mass transit proposals.
Its really one of the most demonic pieces of legislation i can remember on a state level.
