People really need to stop comparing the Jordan Kerr punch to Draymond’s situation.

Jordan contributed A LOT more to the Bulls to more than make up for the fukery of that incident — to the thousandth power.

Draymond on the hand, the juice is NOT worth the squeeze anymore.

Jordan’s credibility equity is far, far, far greater than Draymond’s and it’s crazy that I even need to point this out.

The point of comparison here is, Draymond isn't just some end-of-the-bench guy for this franchise, he's been one of the most integral parts of one of the greatest runs we've seen in NBA history. That means his name and status holds weight in this context. What you're saying with this 'bu-bu-but MJ is the GOAT and it's different' is that nobody, no matter what they've accomplished, can be excused or given leeway in a situation like this because they're not MJ.

Or maybe you're not saying that, and you're just conveniently ignoring the fact that Draymond has helped GS bring them four championships, all because you don't like him.

The fact y'all are standing on this tells me it's not about the punch, but who actually did it, so there's no reason for y'all to be clutching y'all pearls in the process.

This entire thread has just been one big circle-jerk of folks trying to get some get-back on Draymond.

Safe to say, Draymond has lost the trust/respect of all the vets on the team

That’s them holding him accountable.. it was the final straw for them… they tolerated his behavior for too long but it was manageable because it was him just yapping.. but now that he physically assaulted another teammate that was a bridge too far.. I honestly dont see him back with the team after this season is done

The full 30+ minute press conference of him -

He's clearly a lot more apologetic and taking ownership of what he did, than just what those 2-3 minute clips that are floating around are.

he can be apologetic, it doesn't changed the level of embarrassment for poole and his family. if someone at your workplace knocked your ass out do you think you want to keep working with them just because they are sorry ? hes mostly sorry because its public, not because he didnt enjoy beating your ass.

Draymond's apology was TRASH.

He wouldn't have done it if the video didn't come out.

He wouldn't have done it if he wasn't going to lose money.

He's a for real narcissist manipulator.

If Kuminga balls out, it's a WRAP for Dray in GS.

Of course he only apologized in public because the video came out. If it was kept a private issue it wouldn't make any sense for him to apologize publicly. It was reported he apologized to poole and the team after it happened and before the video leaked.

Above the fray.
Im on record for not being a fan of Draymonds, but this is complicated.

Maybe on the internet you can talk shyt and say anything with no consequences, but in real life situations crossing lines can get hands put on you. If you can't back up your talk, then watch your words.

Dray is a known hot head. Bron exploited that to bait him into the suspension that year in the Finals. This year he should have been DQed out of the Finals game for kicking the Celtics player, after he already had a tech.
Team could tolerate the hot head shyt, as long as he was a useful cog in their system. That's no longer the case as he's no longer a productive player with the limited duties he has on the team.
Think it was time to try to move him, but the leak ruined his trade value.
