I've never complained about rappers sharing lines. Hell, I never even complained about Jay "paying homage" with all them lines he took. But a reference track?
That's the type of shyt people use when they have no idea how to even approach a song. At the start of his career, I could maybe over look it. But 5 years deep? Why on earth would he need a reference track when he's supposed to be a "vet" at this point?

Drake stans weren't Hip Hop to begin with. They can't harm something they never understood or where never apart of. Pop music interest have always had there eye on HipHop (grossing the most $, but being the least tamed) Drake was the perfect conduit...the perfect plant. Half black (cred worthy) half Jewish (pluggable) can read lines (actor) understands hip hop sort of(it's his generation, grew up in it) and is intelligent.
