drake's 10 bands sounds nothing like that quentin kid's version either

we can't be mad at drake having reference tracks and people helping him in the studio, but give other rappers passes for having reference tracks and a studio full of people giving them lines and verses and telling them how to arrange them

The reference track is 85% the same verse breh. :dwillhuh:

I've never complained about rappers sharing lines. Hell, I never even complained about Jay "paying homage" with all them lines he took. But a reference track? :scust:

That's the type of shyt people use when they have no idea how to even approach a song. At the start of his career, I could maybe over look it. But 5 years deep? Why on earth would he need a reference track when he's supposed to be a "vet" at this point? :why:

kinda off-topic, anybody remember that thread on :hamster: where dude posted those tracks from a rapper from the South that sent his demo to Bad Boy back in the day, sounded just like Biggie(I think his name was Biggie Smalls, of Big Poppa).. :lupe:

@hexagram23 :whoa: not trying to stir the pot, just randomly remembered that thread after our conversation the other day..

crazy how much rap has changed, im sure Wayne would have got clowned hard just like 7 years ago if an 'A Milli' reference track leaked. Ive always viewed rap as a genre of poets. It was the one genre where lyrics were especially important, how you said them were important, etc...those things were a reflection as you as an artist. rappers took pride in having the illest bars, freestyle culture was huge. using ghostwriters was a huge no/no to the public and if they were used artist/labels did their best to hide it because they knew the public would rip them apart. The thing with Drake, his fans just dont give a shyt about rap/hip-hop. To them he is bigger than that, but at the end of the day he still raps and puts himself up there with best rappers out. This could usher in a 'steroid era; of rap, where more artist began using ghostwriters and buying bars. This would suck because it would be hard to regulate after time. you wouldnt know whats what and that ultimately hurts the integrity of rap. A rapper's voice is supposed to be composed of his own thoughts/style.

It's Drake stans vs Em stans as the worst now. Imagine if some shyt involving those two caught up, I'd be right in the middle like

Drake stans weren't Hip Hop to begin with. They can't harm something they never understood or where never apart of. Pop music interest have always had there eye on HipHop (grossing the most $, but being the least tamed) Drake was the perfect conduit...the perfect plant. Half black (cred worthy) half Jewish (pluggable) can read lines (actor) understands hip hop sort of(it's his generation, grew up in it) and is intelligent.

In 2004, Lord Superb, formerly of Raekwon's American Cream Team and a collaborator of Ghostface's, made claims that he had "ghostwritten" the entire album of Supreme Clientele.[10] Tony Yayo of G-Unit would later bring the topic back to the surface in 2006.[11] However, in an interview with Rhapsody Music, Ghostface responded with "Yeah, I was in Europe when I heard Tony Yayo say that. That’s just nonsense. I still put mad shyt out. 'Perb (Superb) is Rae’s (Raekwon) man. He been in the studio a few times while we’re doing shyt. He ain’t write shyt. All ‘Perb contributed was a couple of lines that you could put in the air. When we write, we all do that. “Say this one right here” or “Put this one right here.” We all catch lines with each other ‘cause you in the studio. You got nikkas around you that write. Even if he did write a verse, he could never make an album of mine. He couldn’t make an album, you feel me? I made Supreme Clientele what it is. Those are my stories, based around what they’re based upon. It’s me. I can’t see what songs ‘Perb wrote. He ain’t write "Mighty Healthy" or "One" or "Apollo Kids" or "Cherchez LaGhost" or "Saturday Nite" or "Malcolm".

he admitted superb gave him bars and even verses :sas2: and it's well known trife been giving him verses for years...that verse on that cormega song wasn't his :sas2:

i'm sure if superb wasn't a dusthead living in a bando he could upload some reference tracks too :mjpls:

nikkas thirsty as shyt to save their little fairy Drake :mjlol:

foh wit dis bullshyt nikka :pacpsit :camby:

Breh, them dudes are dangerous because they're more detrimental to hip hop than any other stans I can remember. These dudes really don't give a fvck if hip hop music is just pop music where the artists go around singing the majority of the time and have ghostwriters, as long as they can dance to the sh!t.

the second coming of will smith.
I been told y'all that this shyt would happen.
now, look at it,...
