you're only good in the city cause I say so (in one of the pusha interviews - big boy? - he was stating how he was in toronto all the time and never had a problem)
NTWS was cohesive. The sound was unique as well. One of my favourite albums tbhSay what you wanna say about NWTS, that shyt sounded different, and was out of left field compared to the typical Drake shyt. He hasn't given us a different sound since then besides biting other cultures with the dancehall stuff, and really didn't give us much of that anyway. I'm ready for him to transform his style again, this feels stale.

Yea I agree. Thing about Drake is that he’s been using the “if you’re reading this it’s too late” style and he’s completely watered it down now. This album feels somewhat different but that take care, nwts type album won’t ever come out of this man.I think the initial pushback from that album made Drake afraid to experiment again with different sounds, beats and melodies. You wonder what a Drake album would sound like if he didn't name that one song Wu-Tang Forever and didn't go with Hold On We're Going Home as a single (it was successful but something else probably would've did better)
I agree 100% on the opposite of views, the rapping on this one was I thought I was listening to comeback season when 8 out of 10, and emotionless came onSide A is rendering damn near universal praise.(Thecoli doesn't count when it comes to Drake)
This album IMO is like the opposite of Views in a way. The rapping on Views was bad(Except for Weston Road flows) But the singing songs were his peak (Controlla, One Dance, Too Good)
On Scorpion the rapping is A1 the flows, the bars, everything is sharp but the singing songs are lackluster. The best songs on B side are the ones he's rapping on(Jaded is dope af )
