Tim and Missy just went in. Listen to the people close to her. Drake went about it wrong. X may have been harsh, but X is real man, he says what he feels. Sure all the cussing the threats might of been to much but X already didn't like Drake anyway but the Aaliyah ish push him over the edge. Tim don't even want to believe Drake got an Aaliyah Tattoo. They said they will not listen to the song even though it's been out for 2 months. Tim said he only heard a snippet. Now again like X said. What Gave Drake the right to feel he could take that unfinished unreleased demo song and make one of his songs but have Aaliyah on it? I'm not saying dead artist work doesn't get released but the real family and musical family have to agree. Tim and Missy clearly stated the mother and father have not cosigned this. I don't care how much money or what the label says. As a true fan of her work as Drake claimed he is. I would of been like, "If they parents don't co-sign. I can't do this. Listen to the interview guys. Tim and Missy clearly aren't feeling what he did.

I dont give two damns about Drake or DMX...although I will say Drake has put out good music the last 3-4 years...DMX has done nothing but smoke crack for the last decade....with that being said...who the hell is DMX to tell Drake what he can or cant do to with Aaliyah's music...does he own her rights?..nope...does he have immediate authority over decisions regarding her?..nope...is he related?..nope..would she even fukk with his crackhead azz if she was alive..hell no...so DMX is mad outta place with this one

oh stfu.. and I dont say that to be real disrespectful to you mayne

but Drake can be criticized:aicmon:

yeah DMX has his issues but we on here criticizing any and everybody day after day. Drake aint above that.

DMX may be critical from the wrong perspective I guess. He just dont like Drake. All the fakkit shyt is not called for.. I get that.. But, If the people licensing her music gave Drake the ok, then fine

But lets be real, that first song was garbage he put out with Aaliyah. And my criticism of Drake and the Aaliyah thing is you cant have the midas touch for everything. Some things you have to decline. An Aaliyah project is hard. She had a signature sound which Timbaland gave her.

Thats all we know.. THAT SOUND.

This nygga Drake gets on the record and cussing and shyt. :ld:

Drake just seemed out his league with this project.

OK Drake, we get it. You Love Aaliyah. You were about 15 when she died. But it's how you do things. Tim again gave him a step by step breakdown of what to do to honor her Legacy. He decided again he wanted her to himself. As someone who's Aaliyah's age and grew up with her music. It was hard hearing Tim and Missy in that interview. They were clearly uncomfortable about the whole situation. They almost sounded hurt that Drake would even do something like this. This is Aaliyah's musical style and integrity we are talking about. Also when you listen to Drake's verse, it's so self serving. He could of easily sang on the track or talked about love. Instead he's dissing Chris Brown, Crying about all his haters and about how hard fame is. Even the title, "Enough Said" as in Enough Said to Drake's Haters, SMH. Like DMX Said, he made it about HIM not her. I mean really? The 1st Aaliyah song people heard in 9 years? He dropped the ball. I like 40 and the beat wasn't terrible but it wasn't Aaliyah. They went about it wrong and I'm glad there's fan backlash.
