What reason did Common have to address Drake? What reasoning does DMX have in addressing Drake.

When DMX called Young jeezy, Young Cheezy live of TV was that hating or valid criticism?

Common spat into the wind. Drake felt offended and responded. Common dropped the bomb on Drake.

DMX obviously feels that Drake mishandled Aaliyah's music, specifically for someone who has never met her. You may as well put Pac on a BadBoy track. Drake had no business doing that and no honor in the way he put out her music. You may as well have Puffy making a 2Pac album.

Secondly, he also feels that some of Drake's musical presentation doesn't reflect his life, which is true. You may fall back on "it's just music" but there are too many who keep kayfabe like that beyond the booth, much like Drake. Drake could be one of those guys who breaks the norm and says "yes, it is just music, I'm not like this outside of music" but instead he tries to keep the tough guy persona which alot of people have problems with. "Make me catch a body", "we can't wait to run into you", "I'mma fukk you up". Let's be honest with those for a second, really. Drake isn't anything like that, and for his card to get pulled on it and for people to just say "oh he's just hating!!" why can't thet just accept that, yes, Drake isn't a tough guy as he's stated and this is all a show for the music?

Three legit criticisms.

And yeah I do think Jeezy is cheezy sometimes, but it has to do with the massive ad-libbing to pick up for lackluster lyrics (aside from the bland "million keys of coke" persona). Dunno what DMX was talking about since I don't tend to beefs anymore since nobody makes records but instead goes back and forth with "hater" over Twitter.

1. When did Drake ever say anything besides that he's a wuss?
2. When in the last 10 years has anyone talked about another city's gangsta?
3. How is it possible that a city with millions of people many of whom are Jamaicans (don't front, they're wilder than any american gangsters) would have no "gangsters" or "gangsterisms"

Poor X. I see now why there are mercy killings

Proof that X is behind the times. This is a free-for-all era where everyone is having fun. X is trapped when everyone is :birdman::scusthov: and battling his drug problems.

:dwillhuh: that's such a horrible analogy

It's like when Eminem made a 2Pac album. Em never met Pac either, yet Pac's mother and The Outlawz supported the project.

I don't condone Em making a Pac album either. Nonetheless the point got over your head: X person has no business doing Y music.

Nobody cares, dude shot most of his movies here and got nothing but love from us. I can see he just a crack head running his mouth and its sad not offensive. If he ever revived his movie career (big if).... he would have to deal with it cuz they shoot here often. what he said is inviting wannabe gangstas to come catch a rep off him. Plenty rappers been robbed in Toronto, not because its hard but because they take their guard down here on some its a walk in the park shyt.

Why does Toronto want to be like demons in the united states.

Cause being a gangsta is glorified to many people. I bet you if all the bad stuff is exposed about that life and none of the good (cars, bytches, money), then no one would TRY to aspire to be one.

This Drake vs DMX exposes the worst outta people. :whoo: Glad to see those who can take this for entertainment and those who gets too emotionally caught up in this.

drake talks that tough guy shyt, stop frontin. yes he also talks that soft simpin shyt. he talks both, which is exactly why people dont take the tough guy shyt serious when he talks it.

gangsters in toronto? maybe dmx just hasn't met any gangsters from toronto. thats not to say they aren't there, its just to say he personally hasn't met them. as far as him getting robbed, that shyt is rocawear coat status. one minute its his chain on a movie set, next minute he was robbed while buying crack. if his chain got took while on a movie set, there would be at least one news story somewhere about it, maybe even a youtube video of someone with the chain, there would be something, but there is nothing. if he got robbed while buying crack, how would you even know that? seriously? someone says something on a message board to claim how tough their city is (i mean if dmx of all people can get it, obviously your city is tough) and all the other kids from that city just co-sign it and start repeating it. now yall talking like its fact. gtfoh.

yes dmx is a crackhead, alot of music legends was on drugs, but he knew aaliyah personally so if he feels a way about it and wants to speak on it, so be it.

There are much wacker rappers than Drake to hate on. Honestly, all the old rapper anguish must stem from a deep frustration that the current demographic doesn't care at all about a cliche hood resume anymore.

I don't condone Em making a Pac album either. Nonetheless the point got over your head: X person has no business doing Y music.

The point went over no ones head...your analogy was stupid. Here's an example of what you just did, to show you what you did here:

A white man executive produces an album of songs from a dead black jazz musician, of unrealeased songs for profit.

You: Wow a klan member might has well have did this.

Do you see why this doesn't work? X should not be doing Y does not equate to the polar opposite (for the sake of a paragraph i'll say that) of Y should not be doing Y

For the record I agree with you, but he had a point.
