The point went over no ones head...your analogy was stupid. Here's an example of what you just did, to show you what you did here:

A white man executive produces an album of songs from a dead black jazz musician, of unrealeased songs for profit.

You: Wow a klan member might has well have did this.

Do you see why this doesn't work? X should not be doing Y does not equate to the polar opposite (for the sake of a paragraph i'll say that) of Y should not be doing Y

For the record I agree with you, but he had a point.

I clarified with the same line in the same paragraph. Drake had no business doing her record, likewise Puff would have no business doing Pac's. And to take his line together, again, Em had no business doing Pac's.

Em was a better fit but it's still the same output I rectified in that same post.

People in here really defending this crack whore?

This is a classic case of when dikk riding goes wrong....because let's be real here, the sole reason you took offense to what DMX said is because you're a YM stan.

Take DMX out of the equation and we still have a scenario where Aaliyah's friends and immediate family said the album shouldn't be made. So who the fukk are you to say they're wrong?

Are you retarded son? What part of "let's remove DMX from the equation" do you not understand?

What does DMX smoking crack have to do with anything? He's right and her family basically said the exact same thing he did, just more poilte....and :stopitslime: at you asking "does he own the rights to her music or is he related" when her damn uncle is obviously just cashing in on her name. That's why people other than DMX, like her immediate family think this new album is bullshyt.

I'm gonna listen to her family over William Bassington from The Coli. :stopitslime:

Drake is making a new Aaliyah record is so she's attached to him musically. Lets be honest. He has a weird obsession with her and wants to get closer to her in any way possible, and sees this as a means for her to be musically tied with him. His little agenda is clear as glass.

The difference between this and Eminem making the Tupac record is two big points; 1 - Eminem was asked to do the album by those who control Tupac's music and 2 - Eminem reached out to those who knew Pac the best (Outlawz) and got them on the record too.

There are much wacker rappers than Drake to hate on. Honestly, all the old rapper anguish must stem from a deep frustration that the current demographic doesn't care at all about a cliche hood resume anymore.
X was speakin his mind on what he considered wack etc at the height of his popularity.

Well, it sounds like to me they aren't happy about it:

timbaland-missy-aaliyah_musicjustice-240x240.jpeg

While promoting her new singles, Missy Elliott was bombarded with questions about the posthumous Aaliyah album. She and Timbaland shared their thoughts on Drake’s role and why they won’t be involved.

Earlier this summer, Blackground Records tapped Drake and Noah “40” Shebib to executive produce the project, but Timbo has his doubts about the whole thing. “I don’t think that’s even in the works,” he told Angie Martinez on Hot 97. “I think it’s blown out of proportion.”

Neither Missy nor Timbo has spoken to Drake, but they respect the wishes of Aaliyah’s family. “My response would be a little different because I have to respect her family and until they come and say we’re ready to do an Aaliyah album, then I don’t really want to try and get into that because it’s really sensitive,” explained Missy.

She also isn’t sure if Aaliyah would want her unfinished recordings released. “We’re talking about unfinished music and we don’t know her reasoning for not putting those records out,” said Missy. “Maybe she didn’t feel like they were her best work. We don’t want to tap into that. It’s spiritually something else, very, very touchy—unless her parents came in and conducted that.”

While Timbaland questioned Drake’s Aaliyah tattoos, Missy was more understanding. “He’s a human being too and a lot of people might not have met Michael Jackson, but feel a connection with him.”

SMDH @ all those fans talking about "Why Tim and Missy wait 9 years and never released anything" How about they actually knew her and it was about the integrity of her Legacy. Drake looking dumber and dumber for this.

Her family has the right to feel however they feel. But why are people acting like Aaliyah was some amazing talented artist. She was average R&B artist.

Why does Toronto want to be like demons in the united states.

why are you generalizing like a mofo?

you really believe?

it's really only impressionable youth that are trying to imitate America's "hip-hop" culture

The statement DMX made regarding Toronto, he was trying to imply that Toronto has no gangsters. Which is stupid because every major city has crime and thus has gangsters.
