A God Among Kings
This thread is an example of people reaching, terrible takes, internet speculation and keyboard marketing, backtracking and dikkriding, denial, goalpost moving, ill informed definitions, blame, and shucking and jiving.
All for handfuls of artists that dont control their own destiny, dont move how or when they want, dont have much say in direction or placement due to labels etc
These people will all be okay, you dont have to bend the rules to make situations fit your narrative. Just make good music or have other people write hits for you its that easy. Are you willing to pay out of your own pocket for outreach? instead of relying on a label?
Are you willing to do more work, (or hire more writers) to drop a few songs while we wait?
Fans speculating with wild theories isnt the answer when its all that simple, and I'm not even a Drake fan like that. You are only as valuable as how much work you put in, or how much you're willing to spend/sacrifice. You can easily drop a random single and just let that play out while you wait... if the single pops, throw that bytch on the album later.
Alot of these dudes people say are "washed" could just go hunt for a hit song from a huge producer. Its also weird seeing fans pretend like if you have 1 song flop its over for you If your job is musician, just make music.
