Needed a random name for a message board. Can care less about him or video games. Meanwhile you out here self ID'ing as a stan of a fruity producer, when nobody asked. Rethink your life :umad:
You typing out a full paragraph to explain your devotion to Baraka, has a nerve been touched?

The narrative is that Ye is obsessed with drake but drake pretty much made a whole album about kanye.

Drake always got ahead because of his talent but the media ignoring his beige rage is the first time I can say he got lightskin privilege.

But that privilege didn’t help as it distracts from the processing and picking apart of the album.

All Kanye said on DONDA is that u sound like him among a few other lines here and there, but drake sending full on death threats is corny. He trying too hard with this heel turn. Has to be label orchestrated.

Hard to just be about the music when they tryna maintain your image as a main eventer and main attraction.

But as always I enjoy the pop raps and r&b. I didn’t discover sandras rose until years after scorpion so maybe i’ll feel that way about the rapping later on.

Ever since views, his hardcore raps generally take a backseat to me. Songs like 30 for 30 and weston road flows are a vibe, but it’s boring and he rambles.

It took me by storm when he decided to go back to his j dilla raps.

it’s interesting because he was a borderline bad and completely uninteresting rapper during that dilla RFI phase.

now that he returned to this style after a decade of being an elite rapper, I can see me enjoying his new finger snapping cafe dilla raps. we’ll see.

until then, im gon rock wit this autotune r&b/pop rap that never fails me :wow:

Album is solid. Safe even. Feel like this album doesn’t have the highs or big records of his past album. Even laugh now cry later would standout on this album.

With that said its no real low points either. Just kind of meh background music.

my only complaint is the songs are too long and the album is too long. Its a tough listen but cant drop 50 every night

After seeing the Way 2 Sexy vid I don’t think this nikka even taking this disc seriously in terms of legacy. Seem like he’s just fishing for tik toks and trolling Ye

It’s disappointing because he had a love heart in his head for a whole year yet this feels safe instead of sticking to the Loverboy theme. I know the song is hated here but I feel Way 2 Sexy fit that theme and this album needed more of that and songs like fukking Fans.

The loverboy gimmick, I wish he went 100% RnB/Toxic relationship Drake

this is a good point. kanye kept his nonsense trolling to IG and DONDA barely has any specific focus, let alone one on drake. he's obviously in drake's head on CLB though

after giving the album a few spins it's fine. it sounds good, and drake sounds okay and doesn't have many awful lines

i wish drake would surprise people again. i probably played club paradise on repeat hundreds of times when it leaked and now it seems like drake can buy the most expensive samples in the world but i can't think of any reason why i would choose a song on CLB over a song on take care

Its a solid 6.5 maybe 7 to me. He had an opportunity to do some real creative shyt at least given the title of the project but its the same shyt. Just depends on how you rate his other shyt tbh cuz its the same formula. And although the formula works all the time, it can still be bland to some. If you usually think drake’s shyt is an 8 then this will probably be an 8 for you. If you normally rate his shyt as mid this wont change your mind

papi home
N 2 deep
fukking friends
Pipe down
Race my mind
Knife talk

are all some pretty creative songs

I wish y’all would explain what “Creative or different” means

nikka begging for a Drake Collab:mjlol:

Deep in his heart and he want that Commercial Success of Kendrick and Drake:russ:

nikka might just ask Drake to sign him to OVO or tuck his tail in and run back to Atlantic Records:troll:

I didn't like the album at all but I'm not a Drake fan :manny:

It was tiring to listen through the whole album. What the fukk is the deal with these 20-25 song albums? :why: Give me a tight 13 at most instead of putting in a bunch of filler in there.

As superficial as it sounds, wat I get from newer drake is a higher rate of auto tune.

yea, he’s been using it his whole career, but songs like know yourself, peak, finesse, and some joints on this new one, he really turns it up and it’s euphoric.

yea, u got songs like shot for me,
Marvins rooms, and doing it wrong, but it’s not as intense as new drake with songs like fair trade and get along better. prolly a combo of Travis influence and that Kanye leak, awesome. Whole game there right now. Like that who I smoke song got some nice intense tune (I just can’t listen cause it’s too violent), and guys like nocap but there’s a difference between usin it and abusing it.

Kanye, carti, drake, and Travis know how to use it tastefully.
