I'm not a huge Drake fan but here are my thoughts.

Album is okay. Like most of his, they are a little too long for me. He always has numerous tracks that are just forgettable, he could trim fat and make much better albums.

My main complaint with drake is that his albums are all over the place. I understand he is trying to make all kinds of music, but he got soft ass tracks for the girls, then he trying to rap to the streets on the track with 21 and Project Pat. I swear he wants to be liked by everyone. He doing some old school Houston remakes that I don't even know how them cats would feel about it. Just feels like his albums lack cohesiveness. I do think his best lane are the tracks that are faster paced and light, songs like the first couple.

But overall the album is cool. It's very Drake. I just wish he would stop trying to make a ton of different kind of tracks on one album. It would be like someone trying to make a movie that is an action, drama, comedy, romance and adventure all in one. Last complaint is that it is a little too feature heavy. I understand that is how the game is now, but I liked them artists that would be their album with little amount of features.

Finally peeped the album. I'm not a Drake fan but have always called it fair, in my view. And I gotta say this is the worst Drake album I've heard since his debut. The songwriting just isn't there, at least not from Drake. There are some very good tracks yet even that's just a handful. Similar to Donda, most of the album just drones on with no real hint of album progression or pacing. The intro is perhaps the most interesting beat on here, no drums, a Beatles sample (something you almost never see)...it sets an interesting mood. Yet Drake is the least interesting part. The beat switch is dope but again, I feel like I've heard this lyrical/flow approach a million times from him.

Papi's Home is that patented reverb 90s r&b track that usually works, and it doesn't miss here. But there lies a problem to me. There's nothing new or exciting here, and the highs are essentially Drake tropes at this point in his career. Fair Trade is a great track too but again, the reverb (minus the 90s sample, yet has that 90s vibe). I'm not sure there has been a superstar pop star who has challenged themselves less than Drake. I get it, if it's not broke don't fix it. But you don't even get that weird experimental track thrown in on his albums, or different vibes. I'm thinking like...Stranger In Moscow, which almost feels like MJ doing a trip hop track. Drake sticks exclusively to the script, often to diminishing returns.

After the (dope) Yebba interlude, there are like three tracks I find good or interesting. 7AM On Bridle Path which is just a straight up dismantling of Kanye mentally and spiritually. You Only Live Twice, essentially the posse cut of the album; Wayne is on a fukking run brehs, shyt is amazing. And the outro, which is a classic 40 piano sample. Outside of the tracks I mentioned (and Pipe Down which is great)...nothing else here sticks out. The singing melodies are elementary and not even catchy. And they sound even worse in comparison to some of the actual singers on the album, like Giveon...Yebba...Ty.

This album sounds less inspired than Scorpion. It arguably has the worse (potential) singles of his career. Yea I'm sure Way 2 Sexy will bump outside but...that beat and hook aren't it. In fact, it doesn't even sound like an album. It's a collection of songs, for you to select what you like and bush the rest. And that's been Drake's MO for awhile, it seems. It's just wild to me seeing the "positive" impressions from people basically boil down to "I'm keeping 9 slaps, this shyt is going on my playlist." Eh? Do you want an album or 20 (or 27, in Kanye's case) new tracks that you curate yourself to find a handful of shyt you like?

Funniest thing about this is on his first release out the gate he collaborated with many indie artists(Lykke Li, Peter Bjorn and John, and Santogold for example) which was a part of why I really started fukking with him. I really don't blame him for doing what he does because those that love what he's doing really don't care.

Few thoughts after a couple listens.

-This album is probably one of Drakes slowest and boring album. Take Care was real slow but the hits really hit. The hip hop joints on here are dull and then you add the r&b with the length of the album it’s a hard sit through.

-It was a mistake to release scary hours 2 cause those tracks would’ve gave this album life and energy

-At this point of his career Drake is more concerned with making music for playlist, then actual albums you can throw on and play through all the way.

-I’m good with Jay and Drake tracks they lost their luster since NWTS.

- Young Thug ruined I’m Too Sexy. Future and Drake didn’t need him AT ALL.

-Future and Drake need to release WATTBA2 ASAP. Undeniable chemistry

-Drake spazzed on 7am

-the albums closer wasn’t a standout

-TSU is a great strip club joint

Just caught the video to 2 sexy. Turned it off when he was walking along the beach dressed and behaving like Khaled. Drake entering the 50 cent Candy shop part of his career.

It feels like Drakes biggest inspirations are IG hoes, strip clubs, his ex’s and his adversaries in the rap game. So the end product is pretty predictable and stale. I’m really thrown off by the lack of anthems and hits on here. Even some of the hooks are bad. Seeing Green he should’ve kept too.
