Story time of how I just beat the game as a one vocation level trickster(got carried by my pawns)

Right after the guardian gigantus kill quest, I had just maxed the boring archer, and switched to trickster again not knowing the game was almost done. Ran to go bring the the weapon to 'ol boy, and he spawned a bunch of adds to deter me or something, I got chained stunned in a corner, spamming health; I had to have "died" 6 times before my pawns got them off me. Then right after that, the cutscene for the last boss happened, we get to the battle field and all im doing is running around using the smoke clone whenever he died, and aoe smoking. While all this is happening, Sorc,Thief, and healer doing work, dragon eventually falls out of the sky and his health drops like bricks, cause sorc and thief are op, and he died before he could recover, what an anti climatic ending.

dont forget thats the regular ‘good’ ending, talk to blue man at the coronation ceremony to go back and get the ‘true ending’/post game

I did it in about 2 hours? It was pretty basic tbh, what are you having problems with?

i just ran and did all the light beams, once i finished the 3 (4 with battahl) i saved at an inn and that locks progress, then i went and did the evacuation missions which were also mad short and simple. I think i spent maybe like 3 days maybe doing all of it and by the end i had to rest like 7 more times to get the last end game mission.

Dragons were all mad easy

So I ran through the three remaining beams. That long trudge to get to the last one on Volcanic isle was a bytch. Once I got to the lava creatures, I had to sacrifice my main pawn and high tail it to the camp. Got there expecting to sleep at the inn before the final battle... no innkeeper or anyone in town. I forgot that the camp was the first to fall smfh. So I gear up with 75% health, rehire some mercs, and head for the fight. Tatted him up pretty quickly.

Then the other fukking beam opens up and I'm like aww fukk. Head to Vernmonth to save, skipped redoing all of the evac miniquests and ported straight to the seafloor. Finally get the real ending :wow::wow: at the part where your main pawn sets the stage for the final blow. I literally teared up./spoiler]

Now on my second playthrough. Running a mage at the beginning, but it feels weird as fukk not being in the thick of the battle with my Warrior. Upgrading to Spearhand the first chance I get.

Minus the annoying ass save mechanics, this game would've been a 10/10. Feels like EQ where every death could means hours of work loss.

I knew exactly how you felt. They set up that first ending really terribly. I was dejected. I hate the fact you gotta search online to get to the real ending

I only knew how to get to the real ending from playing the first game. There is only one use for the Godsbane :russ:

They really made shyt more cryptic than DD1 and that is NOT a good thing.

The game has been running pretty good since the performance patch but the FPS shyt the bed in/around the Sphinx area. I'm not even sure why. It's no different than most of the game before it.

Legit confused as to what's going on.

So the game randomly started crashing as soon as I start after the last update, also DLSS since to be broken since when I launch it the game is in 480P or some shyt, don't even know if I want to do a clean reinstall right now, the game is the exact same as the first one which already felt dated 12 years ago, really disappointed in Capgoat.

DD2 is basically the Matrix with dragons
The Arisen = Neo
Dragon = Smith
Pathfinder = The Oracle
Brine = The Machines
Pawn = Trinity
Sigurd = Morpheus

Some bum who rented out my main pawn returned her back from the rift with that red eye plague shyt smh.
Had her lead me to a Riftstone I hadn’t discovered yet and tossed her into the shadow realm. “Wait! Arisen, what are you doing???”

Felt like George taking Lenny out back and marking him “Will i be able to feed the rabbits” :mjcry:

I dont mind that so much as the fact that the arisen is oblivious. What would've been better is if both you and the dragon were unaware of each other's roles, and that you aware the dragon of this at the end by your discovery. Then you have the choice of whether to continue the cycle or break it. And also, give some hints as to when to use the Godsbane, like "Your heart will ring when it is time". And in my ng+, I already ran into my favorite pawn "big titty Kimmie" who knew who i am, yet I'm once again oblivious :snoop:
