Yeah, his girl's family is wealthy. Not him. Gohan doesn't seem like the type to coast off of his girl and not put any skin in the game. He's not a dusty saiyan.

And like most people in life, his path was affected by the influences around him. He grew up getting fight and study beat into his head by his only mentors. The fight game isn't in him anymore, so he fell back on the only other thing he knows.

He never really showed an interest in technology or engineering despite being around Bulma for so long.

It's not so much the animation but the art style. True studios got a different way of doing things now, but shyt is still lazy and inconsistent at times. Nostalgia or not, you can't deny that. And I'm not talkin bout the in between frame shots or the bright and shiny colors. shyt is too stiff. Fights are better animated, but that's it. These eps are obviously being rushed. DBZ did have bad studios do some of the eps, but the better studios' style shyt on Super

The manga art style is still on point atleast. It's just taking forever to come to along.
