I don’t get it either.

If anything they’ll highlight the new guy from Galatic Patrol as he seems to be extremely competent without using energy like Goku and Vegeta.

He was quick enough to sneak and detain both fairly easily.

much more interested in seeing what that dude can turn into once goku and vegeta teach him their training techniques. also interested/slightly worried about what his training techniques might look like on goku/vegeta (worried because for the love of god they better not put the gawds in flight boots :russ:).

Yup, make him the best tactical mind in Universe 7. They've already got decades of groundwork to back up the claim, he's seen the strongest fighters past & present and always comes up with a detailed analysis in minutes.

It's what made Hit so popular; he lacked the raw power but possessed a unique ability which exploited weaknesses that allowed him to overcome nearly anyone. His personality was basically a clone of Piccolo.

EXACTLY.

piccolo is so much more interesting in a mentor role imo. he already has gohan, goten and trunks on his resume. maybe he studies god ki under whis so that he can become a better trainer, a future angel, who knows? just TRY and do something different, damn. :pachaha:

no amount of stronger is gonna make piccolo matter in this fight. there aren't enough namekians in all 12 universes for that. bring back all the namekians freiza and vegeta killed too, and it still wouldn't matter.

and even if they do power him up, by the time the arc is over goku and vegeta's power levels will make piccolo's jump look extra, extra pedestrian (won't stop people from marking out in the moment though :russ:).

why get beat over the head with an irrelevant plot point again, just so you can say you saw it happen? give that shine to characters who actually have a chance of competing (either now or in the future).

Shut the fukk up bytch, they made up a reason to power up Frieza and turn that tranny into a "hero" so of course they can power up Piccolo if they wanted to. They can write a new arc explaining Piccolo being able to absorb beyond his race-- shyt's easy to do.

Vegeta is the corniest character in all of Dragon ball but they still insist on acting like he's a factor. Piccolo needs to have some shine.

:gucci:

Hit had raw power. He was stronger than Goku and Vegeta. It was his calm demeanor and being an actual challenge that made him popular.

I agree though that he was basically Piccolo 3.0.

No he didn't. :GucciPause2:

It was stated explicitly that if Goku or Vegeta had actually struck him with the hits he was avoiding with his Time Skip, it was over. Hit lacked raw power, he would have been a smear if Goku (fresh) connected or Vegeta (At 1/10 of his usual power).

It was this encounter that forced Hit to consider actually focusing on raw power in conjunction with the Time Skip. Hit was the best example in years for DB showcasing Styles make fights.

In that same chapter, it shows that Hit wasn't using his full power. Dragon Ball Super 013 - Page 22 - Manga Stream

Also even with Blue, Hit was still stronger. Dragon Ball Super 013 - Page 31 - Manga Stream

So like I said Hit didn't lack raw power. He had more than enough in both manga and anime.

In the same Chapter as well as the following, it's stated explicitly that Hit is having to evolve in order to keep up. It's made painfully clear that Hit could have been defeated a number of times due to the power gap.

At no point has Hit demonstrated raw power on par with Goku or Vegeta. He's the quintessential technique based fighter, his techniques are amplified by his natural powerset which is not inconsequential. It's just not on their level.
