King Vegeta is the reason why his son has Saiyan pride in the first place. He's the guy who united the race, blow up planets like it ain't shyt, lead the genocide of the Tuffles, stomped anybody who stood against him (before Freeza came along) and gave the Saiyans Planet Vegeta (which is why that planet is named after him). All of that was why he was made king. nikka wasn't soft at all.

DB Minus is bullshyt. It took away all the shyt that made Bardock interesting in DBZ. Why the fukk would Toriyama change it?

My whole original point is that those scenes aren't necessiarly Toriyama's vision but Toei's. Toryiama may have had some input but Toei was in charge of those 2 gifs of kid Vegeta. The new kid Vegeta is straight Toriyama's shyt. But it is what it is. I don't really see the big deal of shyt changing after 20+ years. Especially inconsequential shyt

jirens backstory was pulled out of belmod's ass in the middle of 1 episode. They gave jiren less than 10 minutes for a backstory of a main antagonist of a 30+ episodes. Jiren didn't even give af and never added anything more. The rest of the time his character was either doing NOTHING (not even moving) or giving the saiyans the BEATS.

we don't find out who jirens villain was, what his wish was, how exactly he obtained his power, etc. The saga was a fun watch but honestly it seems like they forgot to give Jiren a backstory and threw some shyt together once they realised it

At least the show was self-aware about the last minute explanation for Jiren’s backstory.
