With the recent appearance of SSJ4 in the new anime (yeah I know it was in the game the anime is based off years ago), I won’t be surprised if Toriyama brings this form back and makes it canon somehow.
I always fukked with the design, and like dudes said already, it just feels like a true transformation after SSJ3. Not talking about how it was achieved, but it’s overall look. Even tho technically SSJ3 might not be a true transformation either (didn’t Toriyama go back and say it was a mutated version of a super saiyan form
But I t would be dope if he brought back SSJ4 (or something like it) and made it the true next transformation instead of SSJGSS. I always felt like it wasn’t a real Saiyan form and that other races also had the ability to achieve the power of a god (like Toppo in a way). Toriyama won’t do this, but Broly possibly being the legendary SS that was brought back by the wish could also be the one to transform into this new form (SSJ4 or not).
I also feel like this canon Broly is gonna be a huge upgrade character-wise. I’m tired of the OG Broly as well and looking at this new one as a completely different character for now

EDIT: I think in this reboot Broly will be the Golden Ozaru that Vegeta told goku about a long time ago and he gets shook anyways... Broly is cannon...
imagine seeing broly turning into a SS ozaru then turning into his final form and seeing vegeta shook... that would be cool... EDIT: Also the golden ozaru has to be cannon not something the dub made up Vegeta even told the story before goku fought frieza and turned SS.
