They shouldn't have called him Broly. Give him another name so that he's basically the canon version of Broly but still his own character.

A little off topic but does anyone else feel like the whole SSG transformation didn't quite hit its mark.
SSJ1-SSJ4 with each upgraded transformation the saiyan would somewhat lose a part of their humanity and become a little bit more primalistic or savage almost as if they were getting closer and closer to the ozarou form.
I think SSG would have been better if it was introduced AFTER Goku and Vegeta had attained SSJ4 and had hit somewhat of a plateau seeing that as they grew stronger they also grew more savage and would almost lose themselves in the power.
SSG would have been the answer. Gaining tremendous power without becoming more animalistic. It would give extra meaning to the form and why it would be labeled the "God" form. It would be the next true step in saiyan transformation and they could build off of that.
Imagine if Goku and Vegeta got to a point where they were hesitant to get stronger or even transform because they would almost go berserk. Then Whis and Beerus come along and introduce them to this new form that's on a completely different plane as the regular SSJ transformations that allows them to get more powerful without losing themselves but instead gaining more control of their ki.

Where was it when Goku hit 2 or 3 or when vegeta hit 2?
SSG feels lame to you because that shyt wasnt earned. “Mmmmm 5 saiyins who love pour yours hearts to Goku mmmmmmm” After that we didnt see how either Goku or Vegeta earned SSGSS; it was just mastered. Even in the manga toriyama and toyotaro didnt show it therefore they never had any intention to telling the reader how it was attained.
As stupid as UI and beyond SSGSS are they at least showed us how they were attained.
They didnt even show them achieve the blue form, we dont even know who hit Blue first, although Vegeta form was stronger and was ahead then so; but still......
Maybe the break for the series is allowing for the manga to catch up, so there is unity between the two; no rush jobs like the past few super arcs

They initially explained that SS Blue was just the combination of SSG and SSJ and NOT the equivalent of a SSJ version of SSG. Basically two forms combined into one, taking the form they knew and combining it to the form they learned. But not necessarily the next step of SSG.
But even with that explanation the form didn't really make much sense.
