When we seen Goku transforming to Mastered UI, Vegeta was smiling. His attitude is the opposite of his stans. Don't be obtuse. Jirens heel turn made no sense. The excuse they used to do is not really plausible. Not does it give any more weight to the outcome. It was a plot tool to allow Goku to get mad.

Subtle thing I liked: that cut to Toppo after everyone talked about how magnetic Goku was. Seemed like he was listening closely and contemplating. Prolly thinking " fukk Jiren, Goku was a real one after all"
