Essential Dragonball Super? New series set after Majin Buu saga

I been dabbing into the OG Japanese DBZ and I think it's done a whole lot better. I've left the nostalgia alone, it works so well. No extra talking and or monologues that are unnecessary.

What y'all think about this scene compared to the American version we know and love...



Minor touches such as the fact you hear the Saiyan Ape yell along with anyone who goes Super Saiyan in this series is amazing to me.

japanese versions of gohan/ssj2 and goku/ssj3 are miles better. this is not up for debate.

My only problem with the Japanese version is that I just can't take the Son family seriously because of their voices. Goku and Gohan sound like little girls and once they start powering up, all that high pitched screaming is annoying.

I like the music in both versions. The dub tended to add in unnecessary dialogue in some scenes tho.

English Goku sounds like he's taking a shyt the first time he goes ssj3.

Gohan's transformation was better. But only because they mimicked the scream from the Japanese version.

I get where ur coming from with the voices. But it just makes it all the more badass when Goku puts some bass in his voice. When he went ssj2, looked at Fat Buu and whispered... "and this..." with the Barry white vocals, u KNEW that fat nikka was about to get that work. Plus, English goku's voice squeaks too. It's just not as high pitched.

goku and beerus fight for a while, "I'm not using my full power", "I'm also not using my full power", power up, fight, goku gets knocked out, beerus thinks it's over, goku powers up, repeat. i hope they ain't all like this.
