Vegeta mops up mid bosses all the time. If he would have lost here him and Piccolo would be useless for the rest of the arc. He's going to get washed by whoever the final boss is though.

I could be wrong but I’m thinking he knew he couldn’t beat Beerus in that form since King Kai had just told him Goku got put down in 2 blows using it. Plus the rapid energy it uses makes it virtually useless as well. When he got that rage boost from bulma getting smacked, they said he even surpassed goku (assuming ssj3 was included in that) so it wasn’t necessarily needed.
Think of the fact we didn’t even see vegeta transform into the SSG form until Broly but went SSGSS against Freiza which is a level passed that. I just assumed he could always access SSJ3 but the major drawbacks of it makes it obsolete in battle. Like I said, I could be wrong but it makes sense to me

Really? Honestly I think it’s super dope that he gets his own moments to shine & show off forms we’ve never personally seen him in. SSG in Broly & now SSJ3 in Daima. Plus I loved seeing how shocked Goku was once he seen him transform lol

Finally started watching it and am on episode 3 now and I’m enjoying it so far. I brushed it off when it got revealed because it looked childish but I gave it a shot because it’s the GOAT last work before he passed.
