Crazy thing is that’s what missing from the game

Back before DA:I

Dragon Age really focused on racism especially involving elves like Tevinter is supposed to be basically Jim Crow era racist towards elves
I personally felt it was always weird to play racial politics with fictional races while ignoring real ones and still having black people not be represented in a game very well. Rare to even have a party of characters with both male and female black characters in the same game. Usually limited to just one. This came off the same way. No actual trans people, just a trans dragon person
The witcher 3 annoyed me with that, constant preaching about discrimination against elves, dwarfs and wizards. Multiple fictional races used, Not a single black person in the entire game world. lol

This game is great. Although i understand why red pillers have been review bombing it. was almost design to trigger them
You literally have a gender identity side quest where you help one of your teammates identify as They/Them and help them cope with coming out to their parents. :dead:

this is the first time i ever helped character discover their gender identity in a game before. Be like having people discuss racism everytime a black character appears. Its fantasy, they created a world without racism. a black elf isn't looked at any differently than a white elf, you got mexican dwarfs leading armies of blended racial groups while wearing european inspired armor. why create a world where racism doesn't exist but still has trans discrimination? seemed out of place in this type of game. Would made more sense in GTA 6 in the modern setting .like if one of the characters has a kid dealing with this. Not a fukking half dragon. :mjlol:

But that said, it’s not something that ruins the game or deserves a campaign to see the game fail. It’s just a case of cringey pandering that can be ignored if it doesn't apply to you, and hopefully appreciated by those who the message is intended for.
Great post and based solely on this I have now ordered the game. The divisive nature of the reviews has been confusing but will make up my mind myself.

I didn't want to rock with the skillup review posted on day 1 but that was 100% accurate.

This is the worst written bioware game with the worst cast and the gameplay, while good, just gets so repetitive that I'm like.... just glad the steam store was cool with the refund.

Tapping out on Dragon Age and likely Mass Effect. It was good run lol

I just played the intro, and shyt was boss. Definite similarities to Harry Potter. I'm gonna buy it to support.

But you know what's despicable about this controversy? Some of the same grifters shytting on the game are the same ones streaming it all weekend or playing it off cam. So not only are they advising people not to buy it, they're capitalizing on those same gullible people not buying it but watching their streams instead.

I’ve played through the first 3 Dragon Age games damn near 30 times combined… after reading about the terrible writing and how they’ve thrown the previous lore in the bushes (barely anything you did in previous games is mentioned) I will be getting this game when it goes on sale.

I don’t even care about the faggy/trans shít since that’s been in the game series since day one. To make matters worse, the game was apparently made from the bones of a scrapped mobile game.
