BG3 is GOAT... but can we just acknowledge how weird shyt got a couple times with Gale and Wyll both going from narratively harlemites (compared to Astarion) to trying to form an unbreakable bond with you () without any warning from the dialogue choices

Apparently you don't gotta worry about that in Veilguard. Whatever their orientations are wouldn't change based on your character type.

Finishing inquisition has turned into a choir. So much bloat. A million fetch quest. About to drop the completionist play thru and just finish main quest and DLC

Yeah, it definitely crescendos with the combo Winter Palace and Grey Warden siege missions, and the remainder is a major comedown in comparison.

Apparently you don't gotta worry about that in Veilguard. Whatever their orientations are wouldn't change based on your character typethink they said they overturned the romance stuff by accident at release.

So altho i played 100+ hours of DA: I when it first dropped in 2014... i actually never played the DLCs

So last couple years I was lowkey puzzled why is everyone so mad at Solas

But ofc a few months back i bought/started replaying the game on ps5 and ofc it included all the DLCs...

260+ hours later and yo....

That nygga is Elven Killmonger

Coincidental to my above post, i just saw this

Don't worry, Dragon Age fans, The Veilguard will be a "complete out-of-the-box package" meaning no post-release DLC that finishes the story

It's sounding like Dragon Age: The Veilguard is going to be the complete package, as its director has said there aren't any plans for DLC expansions.

The Veilguard director Corrine Busche has assured fans that the upcoming sequel won't have any DLC like that and that it will be "complete out-of-the-box package".

Busche explained how she's a big fan of the Trespasser expansion, but also noted that it was "so essential to the Dragon Age: Inquisition story, it arguably should have been part of the base game."

In turn, this became a critique that BioWare took to heart, and wanted to avoid with The Veilguard. "We really wanted to make it the most complete out-of-the-box package we possibly could, from a player experience, the narrative, and everything else. That's entirely our focus right now."

That isn't to say there won't be any kind of DLC, as Busche did say it's "hard to say what the future hold, but I will say that we had discussions about 'should this game end after Act One?' And the answer was an emphatic no - we needed to tell the whole story of The Veilguard."

Further than that, she also note that the series has a "rich tapestry of lore and concepts and people and places" that could be great for a DLC, "so never say never."

This elf muhfukka wakes up from a 4000 year sleep after fukking up his own era and doesn't like the state of things, so he gives a world ending artifact to a god wannabe villain in a fukked up play to make elves great again, the plan goes to shyt so he helps you (the main character) save the world with his own plans to destroy the world again to bring back the good times. He's committed to this even if you befriend him and show him that the people don't deserve to go out like that.

When he's explaining his scheme at the end of Trespasser, internally I was like:

This man is cooked, I have to kill him!

One of the best / most frustrating parts of his speech at the end was when he was basically like "I am nothing like Corypheus "

He is EXACTLY like him . His fukking backstory, his motivations, his plan, EVERYTHING. The fact that he can't/won't see that is what made me feel like trying to "redeem" him is pointless. This mf gotta go

he reveals the traditional dalish facial tattoos are literally slave markings and offers to remove them permanently. immediately after this event, he throws the relationship in the dirt so the player can 'focus on the final encounter' - all this prior to trespasser where the inquisitor is still trying to vouch for solas and figure out what's going on
