do the people in the game treat u differently if ur an elf human or the giant horned monster...help

Idk if they do but if you go mage the game really feels different. Almost every other scene makes mention of you being a mage and everyone feels apprehensive about it

I like to focus on my character for all that

I'm not sure how this game is, but in a lot of these types of games, you really need to have your party straight late-game. I wouldn't want to trust the auto-leveling to do that for me. but given the kind of 'casual' nature of this game, it probably won't be a problem unless you're playing on the higher difficulties

Cassandra and Varric are mandatory for me in my party just for the banter. The last spot is rotational and usually is Vivienne Solas or I plan to try Dorian.

I thought Varrick was my weak link cause I haven't been able to upgrade Bianca but I been controlling him lately and he's doing high damage easy. Especially if you equip them down the poison tree.

I went into the Mire straight out the Hitherlands and was getting sonned left and right and left ASAP

I have to leave until I get my party straight level wise first. The rift with the two Revenants that pop out.....
The corpse bowmen with poison was sonning me easy too ​

Sucks for you Varric is one of if not the best character in the entire series not just this game. There's a reason they brought him back as a recruitable character when nobody else who was from the first two games is.
