I'm really trying to understand how there are people to whom it is not obvious that breh is a scammer. Unless you are legit mentally disabled, school, your parents and every other person in your life must have failed you if you lack the little bit of common sense it takes to see this guy for who he is

I've actually used to expose chemes and scams before for 10 years on Consumer Reports websites. From Cydcor, to MLMs like Wakeup now.

These would be the type of people that would send donations to big funky and get fleeced.
Umar is always talking about a sense of urgency (*cue video of Dwayne Wade and Zaya Wade* "this is why we need FDMG family!!"), he is always trying to take advantage of those in need and there insecurities. That's how scammers operate. if he can extract cash from it, he doesn't want to do it. He just wants donations. He doesn't want people to see what's going on the other side of the curtain.

I still prefer to see Umar as misguided and unfocused more than an outright charlatan but it wouldn't surprise me.

And it's clear as you mentioned below that he's far more interested in being a "pro-Black" social media influencer, activist, and public speaker than being totally into education and schooling.

There's nothing wrong with that either but I think the passion Umar initially had for the FDMG academy has dwindled down over the years due to his true desire to basically become an Internet personality and he's just trying to give the illusion of major progress being made so that his supporters and donors won't feel like their money hasn't been wasted.

But I can tell you now that Umar's going to keep talking about FDMG being "almost complete" or "ready to open its doors" without it actually being open until the end of this decade just to keep up the facade while still finding time to create videos and memes on other topics.
