I disagree with this man on a lot of thing and many things he says is easily refutable.
lolI disagree with this man on a lot of thing and many things he says is easily refutable.
Do you have any data backing your opinion up?I disagree with this man on a lot of thing and many things he says is easily refutable.
He said the 80s.@Um. Ghouls well first of all how many of the men read thoroughly the statistics that he quotes?
Also I have a hard time respecting any black man that spends an inordinate amount of time discussing feminism just to create the same thing but for men.
He is not objective and his premise is to refute everything that makes black men look bad rather than addressing the statistics/contextualizing them in an objective manner.
Essentially he is no different than the feminist women that he accuses.
The cdc study of black men being better fathers is a self reported study. Has it defined what being a good father consist of?
The study that stated more bw killed bm throughout the 70s says that there had been error in how it had been recorded and the correction reflected in the 90s which inversed the trend that more men killed women than men. Not to mention this was around the Vietnam War...how many bm had been recruited to fight and how many return and in what state?
His response to any criticism of bm becomes a dialogue of white supremacy.
The only valid tidbit that I like is the discussion of abuse by women and the affect it has on sons and their ability to relate to women ad they get older.
I have figured that they as young bw hold resentment to bm abandonment and/or I'll treatment. So do men of their mothers and women in their lives.
Finally, black feminism in academia is small area of study overshadowed by white feminism. There are far more criticisms that can be made about academics portrayal of black people/black men.
Frankly, focusing solely on black feminism is a coward move to not address those who are far more in control in negative black narrative.
And the 80s was the crack era. I see you did not read the stats. You just listened and since it followed pyour viewpoint and he is a prof then it must be right. He said the 80s.
Vietnam took place in the 70s. Please be accurate.
Why are you on this website instead of a space for black women that don't like (non matriarchal) black men?
Did you know that more whites smoked crack per capita? And the 80s was the crack era
Stifle black male conversation...how? Because I said I disagree with him? Again have you read the statistics and the reports he is quoting?Did you know that more whites smoked crack per capita?
The HEROIN ERA came before crack, and as you can see in this new (High Death/Low Recovery) Opiate Crisis, it wasn't a very stable time for black people.
Let's stop moving goalposts, it's time for you to accept the facts. Now you're done here. You won't dignify the real questions and you're here trying to stifle black male conversation in a black male space.
