A lot of people have said the same thing about the outro.....although I wonder if it actually was the official version, and the beat for the regular version was just an outro beat, would ppl just fiend over it because it's something we couldn't have?
I don’t think so, outro is def better to me.

The outro beat was just a teaser for "The Up In Smoke Tour".

This mix was *attempted* years ago....but not executed properly. I have the vocals synced up better than the older version, and most importantly I chopped the loops up so that my version has the keys come in on the chorus, and the verses have a different loop. My version is the hands down the best one out.

Yeah, I heard there was a track with Game rapping over a loop of the California Love beat....what's the name of the track? Can you provide a link to audio/video

I went through my old CD-R's and DVD's, but i couldn't find it. I'll ask a couple of people if they still have it. Odd that it ain't on Youtube though. I remember downloading it from the old DUBCNN forums, there was multiple threads about it because people thought Dre produced it for Game, but it was just the instrumental from the video looped and he did a song over it.

Cool....if you could dig that up, I'd appreciate it....would like to hear what it sounded like. I think I'm gonna attempt chopping up that loop and doing my own blend with it too....

I use to go looking for audio versions with the outro, but it was always just Nate saying “smoke weed everyyyyyyday” shyt used to have me tight lol. The outro was one of the best parts of the song

Except Dr. Dre didn't produce that, Warren G did.

He's just a glorified sound engineer.

Warren G gave him a bunch of song samples to flip. That song was one of the samples he gave Dr Dre. Dr Dre took that sample and made it into Let Me Ride.

Edit:

Here’s Warren G talking about what he did for that song

Man that beat :wow:

StI'll waiting on a full version of the "California Love" video outro. I remember Game said Dre gave it him and he had a song rapping over it. Probably classic Game :duck:

I remember hearing a Alkaholiks/ODB song with that beat.

What did I say that you didn't get. Warren G said he found most of the samples and elements to make the songs then Dr. Dre came and engineered the song to his own liking. That doesn't mean Dr. Produced the song. That's the same as saying Quincy Jones produced Thriller all by himself and not Michael Jackson and his family that produced the songs as demos in their home before Quincy took what the Jackson's produced and embellished upon it to make Thriller what it became. Listen to the demos and you'll understand what I mean.

Warren G should have got CO PRODUCTION credit just like MelMan & Scot Starch did but to say Dr Dre didn’t put his skill on it to make that song is a straight up lie. Warren G says it right out his mouth in that interview that all he did was bring in a song clip and Dr Dre flipped the fukk outta that sample and made it a hit song.

Warren G brought in a SAMPLE...Dr Dre took that sample and crafted it into a full blown hit SONG.

Here's the Game song with the Cali Love video ending beat in low quality, but it's the only version I've heard. Still can't believe they didn’t use this beat for something.
