To all the Defenders of this album, I wonder why they didn't include it in this picture ?

It's solid waste. Not one memorable track in the whole album. Great mixing thoughI skimmed through this album a couple of times previously and when it came out and was not feeling it.....AT ALL. I wasnt feeling it for the same reason a lot of other people werent feeling it, because it didnt sound like vintage Dre. it was totally different from anything he had ever done. So I really didnt give it a chance. Fast forward to 2020 and I took the time to actually listen to it again all the way through without skipping and its not a classic or anything but I like it. I think its solid. for what it was, it was very solid and better than the majority of hip hop being put out today. If Detox ever comes out or whatever his next project will be, I am sure it wont sound anything like this, as this was not supposed to sound like any of his previous works. I am East Coast all day too.
That was like 30 years ago though, dude is a grown ass man nowQ-Tip such a fraud, he dissing that kind of music back in the day. Now he holding the Album's for a photo OP. Dude hated all that west coast shyt.
Nobody is discrediting him. But Dre hasn't been vintage Dre in decades. I'm just saying Compton isn't good. His best music doesn't have to "grow on you" It's below average. It's Aftermath and The Firm level. None of those projects Dre really acknowledges.Dre is at 30+ years though. Outside of Death Row he's always shared production credits and it's no secret he works with a bunch of musicians. All who seem to make their best music with Dre behind them.
People love to discredit his talent but the fact is Dre brings the best out of people, and all of the musicians who work with him say he's hands on.
He elevated from a beat maker to a producer decades ago.
THISalbum has grown on me, but vocally, Dre was off, and what annoyed me most about the album. Didn't have that Dre feel or command he usually has (minus a couple tracks)
Sounded like a bunch of unreleased songs that should of stayed unreleasedalbum has grown on me, but vocally, Dre was off, and what annoyed me most about the album. Didn't have that Dre feel or command he usually has (minus a couple tracks)
