The bridge to medcine man sounded like a sub @ dude...considering there are blatant shots sent at other points in the album it would make sense. All that shyt about credibility ect....seems like a reach but then not so much

Thing is with Em...Drake couldn't bring up album sales/tours and longevity as a crutch...
The whole ghostwriting, crying over strippers.... a motivated Eminem would have a field day with him

I can definitely see some subliminal but now that Iovine has money invested in Drake he probably won't diss him by name...he was throwing shots at Whoopi on his own songs

But the epicness of Talking to my Diary just gives me goosebumps every time I hear it the guy singing in the back seals the deal for me

2001 was timeless, the reason Detox was so anticipated in the first place, clown. Compton is a solid album but flawed and it's not even better produced then To Pimp A Butterfly which is also an Aftermath album

I'm the biggest Dre Stan here, you in my thread nikka, but I'm just calling it like it is, lot of tracks on this album are over produced, messy even. Also, the new artists he trying to break on this album ALL got outshined by the vets like Snoop, Game, Xzibit, Cube, who were barely on the album but should have been all over it. Only Kendrick held it down for the new nikkas. He should have kept it straight westcoast

How you going to have an album called Compton but have a fukking CAC industry plant kid on 3 joints?

I prefer Dre's delivery on The Chronic and 2001. That laidback casual shyt. He really only sounds like Dre on "Talking to My Diary"

This is exactly how I felt listening to this shyt. Half the time I'm asking "Is that really Dre rappin & sounding like that"

Dre should never be on some rappitty rapper shyt. We all know somebody wrote your shyt, so it sounds absurd to try to rap all extra with crazy bars to match. Simple & clean is much better. I liked how he sounded on Talking to My Diary.

Talk your shyt or say some sincere shyt, but Dre should never sound like he's trying to have the best verse on a track on some real emcee shyt.

Compton is a very aggressive album that's supposed to reflect a very aggressive place. I guess that's why he chose an aggressive style of rapping.
