few days late but can someone send me a link?
Yeah breh, when I first heard Animals the chops, melodies, drums and even the way they were cut rung as being Premo. @shopthatwrecks is usually on the money but not with this 1. Only thing Dre did was put some more money behind the beat and added 2 synth cords.
Medicine man got the hook of the year
Dr. Dre’s Collaborators on the Making of ‘Compton: A Soundtrack’
here's just one example, different producers/mc's/singers describe their creative process with Dre:
had to post this one too... the whole thing is definitely worth reading though:
Medicine man got the hook of the year
favorite moments on the album…..
the way dre says like a high rise on "talking to my diary"
the bridge to medicine man, "say, what you living about do you remember when you started out from u lookin lost now fake it till you make it take u little papper but when u look in the mirror ya credibilty is gone now…..
the becoming the only feeling/living i know…... runs on All In A Days Work
all of Its All On Me….thats a perfect song brehs
Xzibits verse, thats why they bring x and the gillotine out, to stop these bytch nikkaz from running they mouth
the drowning trumpet on deep water getting less and less audible
all of Just Another Day, a perfect short song..
all of For The Love Of Money. Jill Scott…. that voice
among other things…..
I was wondering when Dre started to dub voices ....Animals is off course DJ Premiers work
I'm not too impressed with King Mez but Jon Connor fit into the theme of this album.
Dre sounds different though, something in his p!tch or is it just me ?
Game, Snoop, Kendrick and Xzibit delievered :gotdamnbreh:
Eminem sounded hungry without the extra accents and screaming :madiba:
Dope album. Streamed and copped.
2015 shaping up to be like 2013.....just let me get that Ye/Mac Miller album :deseanha:
looking at the production, there's no TDE producers so that doesn't make sense.I kind of get the feeling that Compton (some or most of it) was Kendrick's sophomore album before he switched gears and recorded what became TPAB. My reasoning for saying that is because Kendrick's camp was saying he was going to be rapping on a lot of Dre beats for his sophomore. Dre was only involved in one track on TPAB ("How Much A Dollar Cost"). Kendrick's camp also said that Kendrick was going to be rapping with more aggression. Kendrick's aggressive on his features on Compton.
