Dr. Dre cares nothing about missed moments. Most artists wish they could take 10 years off and have the success that "Kush" and "I Need A Doctor" had. Regardless of how we felt about those singles, those were successful and Dre even performed "I Need A Doctor" at the Grammys with Eminem. No album.

Even when he had Beats By Dre, he had the instrumental to a leaked single in an HP commercial.

At any point between 2009-2012, Dre could've easily sold 500K the first week and went 2X platinum pretty easy.

Compton dropped and sold less than what he ever sold, we did get the GTA EP as well so he dropped two projects. At this point he should've just kept dropping music, sales should've never gotten in the way.

I don't think he's caring about sales either. Dre had hit songs on the charts and didn't drop an album. He then dropped Compton without a single or video. All it got was an announcement. It was his first album since 1999 and he simply just put it out.

Part of me thinks he does care, otherwise he would just flood the market with music. He already has sold a bunch of albums. He should make his presence felt more in this era.

Nah, Dre is the only one seems to be trying to please. That's why he doesn't flood the market. The perfectionist in hin and the attention to detail gets in the way of progress. I'm sure he's scrapped a few incredible albums worth of material. I'm sure he's rightfully scrapped a lot of trash too.

Can't be too perfect because the rap game constantly changes. Not everyone will wait for Dre to drop anything, maybe his core fans who know about him.

It's one thing being a perfectionist when everything you make is great.

But Dre ain't made anything great in a long ass time. The few things that have seen light of day in recent years haven't been good.

The perfectionist is whether it sounds good to him. He's not going to know whether people like it or not until he releases it in which case he may not care or even pay attention to public perception.

To be fair I’m more interested in this then the snoop project

Dre actually has potential to do something special musically and sonically , that we haven’t seen before with a artist like Marsha

:ohhh:

Also seems interestin it’s on interscope , pretty sure last few aftermath projects were independent releases or thru Warner/Atlantic for Anderson paak

If he finished this 3 years ago I wonder when he started working on it :mjlol:

He’s the goat but he needs to be charged with second degree fraud one day :snoop:
