I was thinking about how dope this album was this morning then I see this thread lol. Yeah Dre definitely believes in doing things the old way when that doesn't work anymore. We're officially in the ADD era of music now.

:francis:If he taken the same time and effort ,to get missionary soundin the way it needs 2 :ehh:

Just like he did with this:yeshrug:

Then I’m less worried about that project then others out there :jbhmm::sas2:

Even though Snoop is a personality more than a rapper I'm actually looking forward to this project. He had a couple of albums over the past few years that were pretty decent, not great but they had their moments where he reminded people of what got his name out there in the 1st place.

Really gonna depend on who's writing for Snoop.

If they can capture that 94 era Snoop somehow, we might have a classic on our hands

You think he’ll be leaning on ghostwriters more than his own pen for this particular album?

I can see why he would go that route for an Ego Trippin’ but would be hoping for him to be operating under his own steam for a Dre helmed album. Although saying that, I get how it was often a group effort with D.O.C and even MF Grimm writing on Chronic, Doggystyle, etc.

I just talked myself out of my point, lol

I’m sorry, what on here is so strandout from dre that it deserves some limelight. It’s mixed and engineered amazingly but like…we’ve heard sl these samples and it’s not Marsha’s beat writing so….

The album rides but it’s not a must hear album for anyone besides fans (I’m a big Marsha fan)
Basically.

Album is pretty much..."that new old shyt"

I enjoyed the album and still do but it was definitely "low key" for being the first album Dre actually produced in a while

I wonder if it charted at all...

The albums cool, but "R&B singer singing over obvious 90s Hip Hop breaks" got played out last decade.

I decided to come and give this a listen after checking out Snoop project and :damn: A nikka was sleeping. It's now obvious Dre mailed in his performance on Snoop shyt and saving his REAL work for his A/M shyts. :martin: but hell I can't blame him :manny: this production next level. Dre actually riding a lil TOO much in my own lane as this shyt kinda uses a LOT of the same format I been been on in my latest projects :mjcry: my @beatclub fam know what I'm talkin' bout :russ: But for real I think this might be my album of the year :whoo:
Big Marsha did her thing :salute:

people talking about if Dre still got it and sleep on a project like this is top tier comedy :russ:

Dre can't even get out of his comfort zone for a bit without mfs wildin, He gave you the Marsha project to let you know he can POP out and show mfs, the Missionary project was to EVOLVE with an already tired sound he had with snoop that some of yall couldn't appreciate in the first place. it is what it is :manny:
