Houston to LA like I'm Robert Horry.
I heard this on the way coming to work this morning. Nothing I didn't already know, but still a very good interview :ehh:

The part that caught me was how they almost had a circle jerk (in a positive way) about how their parents primarily the fathers pushed them to their entrepreneurial mindsets. My dad did the same exact thing when I was younger. Whenever I told him about a type of job I'd like to have or a company I'd like to work for, he would WITHOUT FAIL interject and say, "Why not create your own company, or invent your own product" I didn't understand the impact of those words then, but I definitely do now. I love you pops :mjcry:

I think the main thing holding us back is the lack of a family unit and I blame that on systematic racism as well as a culture a lot of our people have unfortunately bought into. As much as we have people trying to preach that single parent household shouldn't be shamed, kids are statistically much better off with both parents in the house. I know for a fact I wouldn't be the half the person I am today without a father figure and I will without a doubt make sure my children get the same.

That was one of the best interviews

Some of envys questions :wow: when he is fully engaged he puts forth some nice questions

The doc should be up there once every month doing a financial report:wow:
yea Envy gets a lot of unnecessary hate.
You can tell he always means well…and probably has more info than most of his cohost and guest on the show.

Exactly

People think it's a completion between the guest and the hosts, " oooo they mad/ he lost" but in reality it's a discussion with all parties asking questions from all sides of the board

Envy put forth some great topic discussions

I may not agree with dame but as doc said his energy sparked something so:salute:on that note

That was a must watch. It was literally what

thought he was saying.

Not that there's necessarily something wrong with it, but I simply can't rock or really even understand Envy's mindset or the agenda he pushes.

I especially don't get this idea of I only work here because I love to DJ so therefore I like having a job, when clearly if that was the case he could do what Dame said to do and start his own radio station, or have a podcast, or whatever.

There is definitely a lot to be said about mentality. There is a lot of headache involved with ownership that not everyone wants to go through. I personally don't think it's bad to have a job and work there. Envy has parlayed that into financial success and he can (assume he's generation 1 of his family's wealth) pass down many more opportunities to his children down the line.

Dame Dash is 2 Million dollars in debt. He has money but he is nowhere as liquid as Envy. He says he "hustles for his last name" but he can't really pass them down anything. Envy is stable and can pass down liquid tangible assets to his children - earned from working a job - whereas right now Dame can only pass down a "mentality". I guarantee if a black owned conglomerate offered Dame 50 million to be their ambassador he would take it in a heartbeat. Being an employee is corny to Dame but being broke is corny to everyone. :yeshrug:
