Because it may go back to its original value and more if the earnings report match the market sentiment
I mean whats the point of having 10-30 "diversified stock" if it all goes down with the market and back up at the same rate. I see this a lot from new investors

Ahhh. You mean like the S&P 500? I used to own and was up 70%

I lost a lot a few years back.so I set my triggers and sold. 5 months later back to price I sold it at, 6 months more, 8 months at 15% gain from my original.

Nearly a year later, how did those stocks fare (too many to look up right now)?
Prpo got a nice ~150% run during this time... completely fizzled our after that. Pump and dump... first company really invested in. My criteria has been drastically different throughout this last year (back in school for finance &comp sci... looking to break into asset management or equity research). So all of my investing is a little more “thoughtful”

If you look at the biotech thread.. I mentioned bcrx /sbbp probably 3 months ago or so (saw 20% / 100% respectively) ... current holdings are
Labd (3x levered biotech ect)
Tvix (3x levered VIX futures)
Ruby
nrbv

might be to late for the first two... but like the last. Don’t post too much here anymore. Will try to at least in stock related threads. Had an informal interview with a start up based value fund last Friday (before the drop) thought it went well but lol the timing...

What's your opinion on Budweiser (BUD)? I figured that if people are stuck at home, they may be drinking beer more. I looked at the 5 year trend though and it's gone down from $125 per share to mid-$50s now. Not sure what the price per share was 10 years ago though.

What action points do you see in the works that will bring them a profit in order to continue the dividend and also raise their stock value?
:mjlol: For one, we already know what we get with Ford. What other stock you know is backed by the Government? Ford should have been dead, once Uncle Sam let it be known that they won't go away, that confirmed they are the most stable dividend stock on the market aside from Mcdonalds and Coke. You all can miss out if you choose but I would buy up while the stock is 6-7 dollars because it will jump back up and a short term AND long term play.

If you don't mind me asking, how many shares do you own in Ford?

:mjlol: Last time it jumped to 12 dollars a share I sold most of them, but I still keep a couple of K's on deck.

:mjlol:Ford is lowkey the easiest flip on the market but I'll let these guys tell it.

So how many shares do you own as of today?

I understand the "too big to fail" stocks. I will see about this one though short term is my game for this year. Once I get back to where I was years ago will focus on long term stocks.
