Kory tries so hard to stay in the middle and ride the fence that he ultimately just pisses off everyone. Seriously count how many times you hear him say "I'm sorry", "I don't mean to offend anyone" or "I'm not trying to make this political" whenever he talks about any serious topic.

He's running a business so he has to walk on eggshells so he doesn't alienate his audience. Whether he goes left, right, or stays in the middle it's a lose/lose situation. The only option is to not touch sensitive issues at all.

I'm more forgiven than the average coli breh

He's never came off as an Uncle Tom

The way he addresses stuff just comes too much as sitting on the fence

It's not like he defended the devil...I just expect every one to atleast be like Martin; No, no, no excuse for this ESPECIALLY when you have a history

It's that BS; I understand in context that urked me :dahell: nikka you in Texas, that's as much Kill-A-Nigg*r central as Alabama or Mississippi (where my folk from)
Been noticing a lot terms like "context" and "I'm just playing devils advocate" are used as crutches to not fully commit to an argument out of fear.

not sure what the fukk yall talking about with korey
but he clearly stated 2 nights in a row that nikka is for us and yall cant use it, and why we "took it back" and not "letting white people have it back"
make that 3 nights in a row, because theyre talking about it again tonight
He then went on about "things are changing" and it will lose it's meaning because everyone will be using it.... Something he's looking forward too.

A world where people can call Blacks the nword w/o repercussions.:hhh: How is this not c00ning? That reality existed already and in some places still does.

thats not what he said at all

you nikkas just want some extreme reaction of fukk all white people then get mad when he doesn't say that and end up missing his fukking point

he went 3 days in a row talking about how why we say it and why were not letting white people have it back
and even said how fukking stupid white people sound when they say "why cant we say it"

I can understand both sentiments but I think a lot of people(specifically his African American viewers/toastees) look to him as a voice amongst the sea of Caucasian critics and YouTubeers that proliferate this space and medium.
Not saying he should be a leader but at this junction, as a Black Man, being a moderate will have you looking funny in the light. He is entitled to have his own opinion, friends and lovers but that riding the fence, I just can't get jiggy with it when I'm seeing black faces being murdered by cops with no repercussions.
I'm watching white men who are so privileged cry about unjust freedoms done to them. A president who literally consigns racism and bigotry.
I would respect homes more if he said" these are tricky subjects and I just want to entertain and make people smile." Granted people would still be turned off by that sentiment because "he's not speaking out", but dude looks foolish when he tries to talk about these subjects. That cop video perturbed me because he felt it was fake and for show. But we have seen countless white people literally scream and pout at officers, so I don't know why he felt the need to say that or single out that brehs frustration
/ fear as some kind of publicity stunt.
I don't think Korey is a c00n and he does entertain me from time to time but most of these issues, he is just not versed in or he is so deep in with white people that he doesn't want the blow back that could fukk up his money/relationships..
Also he has to rise above his toastees that always say they are tired of race. In doing so, he is only pacifying nonblacks and other poc to make them comfortable.
We are living in a time of racial unrest, that's just reality.
People are going to fukk with you regardless as long as you put out content they like.
shyt nothing happen to Jontron,Pewdipie, Maximillon Dood..
If anything, these incidents made their followings stronger:francis:

This "he's running a business" thing is just an excuse. If he can go all the way in on Marlon Wayans for making black people look bad with his movies, to the point of anger, then he can go all the way in on white people that do bullshyt too. And the thing is he has in the past. Martin does it all of the time. Hell Korey even went in on Ray for fence sitting and not wanting to talk about issues.

Korey is just wishy washy on when he wants to take a hard stance and when he wants to appeal to the both sides camp. And the "n-word" topic is one he probably won't ever take a hard stance on since he joked for years that the n-word will soon be a word all races can freely say (I think he said it in the Dope review) and he has tried to give passes to white callers and coax them into saying it on air. Not to mention his wife having a pass to freely say it jokingly. He knows he'll be a hypocrite if he was now up in arms about pdp saying it, so he takes the "it's about context" angle.

On an unrelated note, I'm still subscribed to DT but I ain't watched it for a minute. shyt fell off to be honest. The "IT" review was the first one I watched in a while and the constant corny jokes and laughing was annoying as hell. Maybe it's always been like that and I never noticed but earlier it seemed like just guys sitting around talking about pop culture and movies. It reminded me of me and my friends back in the day. Now it seems like they gotta cram 200 jokes and laughing along with it in every show. It's unnatural as hell.

Fred.

I'm still a fan but I feel you.
I think the number 1 thing Korey can do is get someone else to work the computer (e.g. loading up the clips, pictures, etc.) so that he can relax and just converse. Tired of watching him killing the flow of the conversation, ignoring the other hosts, distracting himself, stuttering, etc. so that he can stare at his laptop to get one of his canned jokes ready.

Wait, what did Dood do? I've been watching a little of his content recently.
