on the 25th i bought 100 GE $12 strike calls for $600 ($0.06) with a 10/5 exp. looking like it will pay off handsomely.
edit: did pay off handsomely, sold all 100 contracts for $100 each.

yeah and if i had waited to sell until the 5th i would have made more than double that, but once i saw that limit price at $1 and i paid 6 cents i was like i'm good. GE has been good to me this year, made money going up and down with GE. i've made most of my money on puts, but that was one of my calls success stories.

So did you just have to pay for the contract or did you also have to pay for the underlying stock when you finally went to sell/buy to close the option out?
well the cost of the contract is up front. when i exercised my options it's whatever the limit price is x 100 (per contract) and that's what's added to my account.

of course. i took your question to mean if i was in the positive, not if i was winning all the time. i wish that was the case, i would be riding out the rona on my own island.
